Melonie redressed herself and sighed. "Way to make me overheat." "I said I was sorry." Griselda said. Suddenly, their demeanors changed on a dime and they both gave each other serious looks. "Do you smell that?" Melonie asked. Griselda nodded. "AKs...." She growled. Melonie reached down and pulled her M14 out of seemingly thin air and looked toward the lobby. Griselda kept her cool and just watched.

Dora followed their glances. "Something up?"

[Swith Witherward]

Swith had bundled Superbia and Marcus up, hidden the demon's true appearance with some creative illusions, and taken them to the park to wreck havoc in the snow. Marcus, who had spent much of his childhood in the Void and was covered with the gods' protective blessings and sigils, was the ideal roughhouse playmate.

She brought them both back to the building after lunch at Chaos, and opened the lobby door to let them in.

Naomi sat in her apartment and mustered up her resolve. She's practiced what she was going to say, and it sounded good to her. Now all that was left was actually walking up the stairs, knocking and saying it. She stood, sat back down, stood again, made coffee, sat back down, finished the coffee, stood, made an excuse to herself about waiting until evening, and sat back down again.
