Okay guys, I know I could've been enforcing this a bit better, but there IS a minimum 8-solid-lines-per-post rule. Landenburg, KGG, I'm looking especially at you two. If you can't do one subject, combine two subjects, but it has to be eight solid lines. I'm sorry if you have problems with your writing or the flow of ideas, but we're trying to keep the RP looking good and being fair. If one person writes in a short sentence what could make up a couple solid paragraphs for another, the thread is neither.

Have fun, and keep trollin' on.

Well it's not planted in the rules, but that seems to be the tendency.

Javelins are designed to break or bend upon contact, so they maim badly and can't be pulled out easily. However, I should've mentioned it beforehand so I'll shut up.

Glas, Kaz, I was wondering if you could give me an exact location for the battle (as in send me a version of the map with the warzone highlighted). I'd like to send in support for Glas.

I entered Arguborr from Dun Nechtan. If his kingdom is in the Isles, then I'd be going either West or South-West (West-South-West?). The best location I can find, with google maps, would be near Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin (1 large hill and various mountains and valleys). Therefore, I would say the battle is here:

SB, I have no idea what the hell waterways were like then :lol2: I guess there wouldn't be a canal, but I'm more interested in basic immersion and making it even: Machine guns are unfair and reading someone talk about Manchester tends to knock me a bit out of character

:eyebrow: Where were there machine guns? Or Manchester?

EDIT: Actually, this may just be internet fools' gold, but I've seen maps showing Scotland pre-600 with that same waterway. I'm guessing it exists naturally then, and was made into a canal for later ships. luckily I'm using little canoes.

They were examples. That map does sound pretty amazing, though I'd be interested in how you work out waterways 1,400 years ago? You can't just remove canals, erosion and deposition and alll that shit has to be considered.

Well, I have no reason to believe that the mapmakers would be in the wrong. As for erosion, in this circumstance it would only help. Anyway, it's not as if I were digging a canal or anything
