*Thriller slowly walks into the new building, scanning his surroundings ever so delicately*

"This is where they moved eh? Looks better than that old piece of rubbish."

Swith stood in the lobby, waiting for the cyborg to enter the building. "It's about time," she muttered darkly.

"Ya think? Had a hard time locating you guys. Now then, where is that little shit?"

"She wants a new one. Tsu killed the one Bones gave her. Anyway, all gates are interconnect at a hub, like a wagon wheel with thousands of spokes. The hub is the passage back to a solid dimension, be it the one we came from or another one. I'll try to get us back to our own from there."

She took a deep breath and stepped into the freezing cold.

It was a blistering cold walk for Naomi. Shadows fluttered close to their tunnel at times and Naomi identified them mainly to keep her brain working rather than for Totenkopf's benefit, her breath puffing out "daemon" or "god" or the occasional "mortal" as she trudged along. Her lips were blue by the time they reached the hub.

She held back at the gateway leading in. "We'll wait to see who else might be here, and then I'll give it a shot. Any place in particular or will the bomb shelter be okay?"

"Where he is really isn't my concern. I wish to discuss the letter to Naomi," Swith said firmly. "I am not certain how closely you align yourself to your deity of choice, nor do I know who he is."

"ALEKI YOU ASS!" *He screamed before running up to him and slamming him into the ground* "Next time you do something stupid like that, i'll court martial you. You represent our people like so many other commanders that have come before you. Don't give us a bad reputation because you couldn't hold your tongue!

*Aleki laid their on the ground petrified*

"DO YOU UNDERSTAND, KOMMADANT?!"

"y-y-yes sir." *He said with a shaken voice*

"Yes sir."

"Good." *Looks back at Swith* "Now then, where were we?"

"Run?" Naomi was confused. "Why?"

"No, I mean I will need to leave quickly. Need to check in with Bones and make sure everything transfered over fine."

"Aleki," Swith said. "Where is that letter?"



"Oh, I thought it was because you knew about the warders," Naomi nervously laughed. "I wasn't going to mention them if they didn't crop up. We'll have plenty of reason to leave quickly if they do."

"Oh no, I thought there might be something like that. Usually are terrible creatures in a place like this. Whatever, lead on."

"Aleki," Swith said. "Where is that letter?"



"Oh, I thought it was because you knew about the warders," Naomi nervously laughed. "I wasn't going to mention them if they didn't crop up. We'll have plenty of reason to leave quickly if they do."

*Thriller turns to Aleki* "Yes, the letter, where is it?"

"Let me check." *He pats himself down and digs into his pockets* "here it is." *he hands the letter to Swith*

Naomi listened a moment longer and then said, "Now would be good." She approached the center of the hub, ignoring the swirling mists. She grabbed Totenkopf's shoulder, fingers clutching as much uniform material as possible. "Don't get distracted," she said to herself.

She focused and went, dragging him along with her through brilliant light. Wrapping around him again to protect him from the barrier, they scuttled through into dimensional space and she reformed just as they slammed into the inside door of a closet. She fiddled with the latch and the door swung open into the bomb shelter. They stepped out and she slammed it shut.

"Safe and sound, and hopefully in the right time," Naomi said. "Thanks for not being mad at me, Totenkopf."

"Meh, I deal with worse. Now if you don't mind..."

He leaves to locate his apartment's current location.

Naomi watched him go and then found bath towels to mop up the melting ice left by their boots.

Granted, I'm not in your pantheon, but were I to put it in perspective in a way that could be easily understood... well, it is like a follower of Elohim asking Satan to protect someone's soul, although I don't ask 'what's in it for me?', unlike him or his demons. Are you comfortable with that?" Swith crossed her arms and waited for his answer.

The two raptors emerged from under the operating table, labcoats ruffled. "So, how long were you in that all female colony?" NVE asked. "Too long." Gretta replied. "So, should we revive the dead dog now?" NVE asked. "No, let's have breakfast first." Gretta answered. They went to the kitchen with grins on their faces.
