Bran sat up and pulled Naomi up. Bran then slapped her across the face with the back of his hand. "Get it together! Please!" There was a hint of fear to Brans otherwise angry tone. He needed to have someone keep him company and was afraid that Naomi went over the deep end . . .

"Please speak to me . . . I'm scared too, but do you see me crying? No, because we're strong."

*knocks harder*

"Please open up, I have Aleki, he's wounded and I need a safe place for him."

"Aleki... needs..." Naomi said, not meeting Bran's eyes.

[Giovenith]

The boy rubbed his head at the attack, which had had a similar low affect that the bullets did. This, coupled with Tsuyoi's disregard and apparent lack of understanding of what he was saying seemed to break his cool. "Feh! Forget you pathetic little passing memories! I should've known better than to think any of you would have enough decency or heart to understand our noble crusade. Now if you'll excuse me, I have obstacles to eliminate."

And with that, he began to walk off with an arrogant lack of concern. "Hooligans!" he whispered.

"God-killer, huh? Interesting... so am I... This will be most interesting indeed... Care to fill me in on some more details before I go flying ninja kick him in the face?"

Naomi yelped when Bran hit her, and a small stream of blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. She stared at him with wounded expression.

"Speak to me, please? I'm scared too, like I said before. We need to be strong ok?"

"Aleki... needs..." Naomi said, not meeting Bran's eyes.

"I got it!"

Bran hopped up from Naomi and opened the door.

"It's pointless to combat him, Bones. He can only be defeated in ways that Gio understands." She coughed and threw away the cigarette. "Don't know why anyone bothers with that habit."

Swith leaned on the building next to him. "Let me think of how best to explain it..."

Swith continued. "To begin with, you must embrace the fact that two completely different beliefs can be equally true. It's generally believed that ultimately there is a similar core force in the universe that takes on many personifications, and in something of a cosmic DID, these personifications that on a life of their own as gods with opposing thoughts and values. That is why there are so many pantheons, in a way. Who created the universe? Who can destroy it? Can more than one god have created it? Was it not created at all but stems from the big bang? The answer to all is "yes". This boy stems from that cosmic cluster f*ck of 'equal but trues'. He is part of Gio's pantheon, but deadly to all others as well. Gio knows how best to banish him, and for that she needs to work her Magic. I won't tell you more about Gio or her Mama without her permission."

And with that, he walked up to the boy, pulled out a flamethrower, and lit him up.

Giovenith was standing some feet away from the scene, carrying an unidentifiable lump of various strings, iron, and paint.

"I had to bring it with me when the windows said what was happening," she said seriously, dumping the things onto the ground.

"So it's like the spider to the fly! Didn't your Mommy ever tell you that unfortunate bedtime tale?" the boy asked mockingly, seemingly living shadows beginning to transfer into existence around him.

"Your quest is misguided, young one." she said straight-forwardly. "I am sorry to say, but this is all we shall ever get, for eons and eons."

"Is that what Pearlelei told you?!"

"It is what is obvious to anyone who stops to see."

"You are a liar!" the boy was getting angry. "Your mother is a liar! EVERYONE WHO HAS SIDED WITH HER IS A TYR-" At this, he realized Bones had set him on fire. "AIIEEE!" He tried to stop drop and roll.

Quickly, Giovenith threw a net over him him made out of the string and iron and began to tie him down. Both she and the net seemed to be fireproof. "Quick, bring me the paint!"

"I'm listeni- Dammit, not now NVE! In case you haven't noticed, we have a bit of a problem."

"What problem? I was working on this all day. Care to tell me what is going on?" Arthur said taking off his top hat. "Everyone's a critic." Scarface said in a low deep voice.

Swith pushed off the wall, spun NVE around and showed him the boy that Bone's was torching. "That is a god-killer. It is the negative of the universe, in a way, and if it touches you, you will be no more. If it touches me, I will be no more. Gio is working on the Magic to banish it. Your trip to hell was a walk through daisies compared to that being over there." She let him go and started working on portal conjuration.

A small spray of silver droplets spread from her form and circled around her like electrons orbiting a nucleus.

Swith marshaled her fear and ran over to Gio. "How can I help? Do you need him tied down?" She looked around for the paint.

Bones dropped the flame thrower, pulled out his revolver, and started unloading it into the boy's face. He was well aware that it won't kill it, but felt like doing it anyway. When he emptied the gun, he reloaded and resumed firing.

Naomi looked at Thriller. "Hello emperor," she whimpered. "Please... don't you start hitting me, too." Naomi shivered violently and nearly vomited . "I... Swith poured her fear into me so she would remain calm to fight. I... hurt so much."
