3. The nation seems... quite small for its geographical diversity. I'm not saying it's impossible, but a nation of both "vast" deserts and rainforests seems unlikely for an archipelago smaller than Austria. So is there any reason for this?

1) I would say there's still racial tensions in Perikuresu, although I might have to read more on multiethnic states & racial tensions before I can make any comments about that. Regarding native rights, I want to say that Namokupunians aren't a (or at least aren't that much of a) minority in the nation, and they've equal rights to Europeans and Asians
2) So far, only Perikan has been formed, and Namokupunian has been influenced by Chinese & Japanese. I might be making a Perikuresuan French Creole language only used in Rue du Bassin but other than that, I don't think there's any more i'm planning right now.

I have two questions about your nation.

1.) Since your nation is an island, is the nation currently facing the dangers of climate change? You know things like the oceans rising and extreme heat waves. If your nation is indeed facing climate change, what is the government doing to prevent the island from getting swallowed by the ocean and how does the government deal with extreme heat waves considering your island is known to have "everlasting sunshine"

2.) Since you barely have any information about your nation during World War 2. Was the nation ever attacked by Japan or was your nation able to defend itself from Japan's fleet?

  • 1. Well, it goes both ways. Tiberian Dawn (the setting) took place in the 1990s, and PASGT was actually one of my favorite gears. They just happened to align perfectly so I just had to seize the chance, works perfectly for the UN and its enemies as well.
  • 2. Well, honestly, it's a bit of a stretch, but I enjoyed writing Jean-Andou from KTO, a slow descent into insanity that I have yet to finish, but it's going to be fun. On the flipside, I did not enjoy writing Norman Fitzgerald of RACA 'fame'. I just don't like the way I wrote him, and his entire shtick in general. Well, I still think he could be fun to mess around with.
  • 3. Well, honestly, I haven't watched much TV or series, but I can say without shame that Red vs Blue is one of my favorites. Made me laugh a lot.

1. Human culture is mostly similar-ish, since everyone alive in 2050 is still alive. In fact, the oldest person is a baby boomer! And yes, memes are still around.
2. No one knows. Except me! So, the real reason is just God. No, literally. God exists in this universe. Not any god from religion. This god is just someone who made the rules of the universe and just watches. Until 2101 AD, that is... God just teleported the inhabitants to a habitable planet. Then they yeeted the ship out of existance. Reason? Nothing, just bored.
3. Waldovians are massive 10-meter creatures with dark skin. There's a reason why they're named Homo longus! More info on them will be in my facbooks soon. Meanwhile, humans are still just regular humans 2 million years in the future.

I don't mind at all, your questions are always good Baizou. Nice to see you again:
1) Ehhh...I let a side project become a main after I really got into it. And also, because I realized that LP/Tohorin clinging so closely to Spain was unrealistic, even with a "Special Relationship". I'm actually thinking about re-writing some things in my history factbook: Once their economic interests begin to diverge and once issues over Tohorinese settler colonists in the Lesser Antilles become an issue that make it less popular, and after Napoleon whacks the Bourbons, I can actually picture LP/Tohorin getting away from the Spanish Sphere to pursue it's own control over it's Caribbean holdings while seeking to enter the Latin American markets. This would make LP juggle its' relations with Britain and France during much of the 19th Century and take a more conciliatory stance towards American business, or try to broker it's good relations with France against America in the 1890s...and then get the UK/France to press for a stalemate after a disastrous war with the USA...so in sum...a slightly smarter Spain.
2)You see...
3) It was a recent development after people asked if there really was a "VVS Nova" after I initially thought it up as a joke. Though it actually became a very sound idea after I realized that aliens having different factions on Earth (and how they compete over influence or Earth contraband) that try to reveal or conceal eachother could make for fun.

Hello! Thanks for the questions.

1. There are lots of CARRIE units out there, but only one in the main cast: the unit that accompanies Ambassador Mizushima. I have a friend who really likes robot tropes, and I was hanging out with them a lot at the time that I made Baizou, and I figured it'd be a fun way to demonstrate just how advanced Baizou's videocassettepunk is. CARRIE's name does say recorded responses, but that refers to her foundational database of words, phrases, sounds, and pronunciations that, according to CARRIE's inventors at the Nouden Corporation, enable machine learning algorithmically generated responses customized for the circumstances.

2. I'm not involved in any RPs right now, but I think it'd be really fun to do one! Baizou's cast of characters definitely feel like they have potential to shine in that more flexible interactive environment.

3. I have two prose fiction ideas that I really want to write, but I haven't even gotten started on them. I'd also like to overhaul the Baizou factbook to be more centralized with the Wiki-style description pared down and the prose-fiction or in-character content put more front and center, but that's probably still a long ways off.

Most of it is WIP because of time...and motivation...and writers block.

But most of the WIP happens off site on a private document.

1. Its kind of a joke both IC and OOC. Basically, the thinking is that traffic lights came from the west and well "control" how Sherechians drive. In reality, even before the socialist revolution, there were not that many traffic lights in Sherechia to begin with and after the revolution where concepts like drivers licenses were completely removed, we might as well remove traffic lights. Ironically this is in some ways safer as it forces everyone to enter the intersection at a slower speed. And for the OOC reason it really adds to how questionable Sherechia can be, Sherechia is not a meme nation but its definitely less serious in some aspects.

2. So I added Daikan because why not, its pretty rare to have animal characters which I thought would add Sherechia's uniqueness and make Inogo Estima a more interesting character at the same time. But it also makes RP more interesting in YL meets AL scenarios and usually results in more interesting replies. I mean imagine meeting a ram instead of a normal human.

3. Misuse of government funds during the construction of a bridge results in corner-cutting and that bridge collapsing a few years later which caused like several tens of deaths.

I hope this answers your questions, feel free to ask if you're still confused or have more questions.

2. What's the punishment if someone made a group or party that's not Marxist-Leninist? Ranging from social democracy, "American conservatism" all the way to blatant fascism.

3. Catholics are viewed with suspicion in your country, how about other branches of Christianity or other foreign religions?

1. The 1945 Feyrisshire Communist Revolution was anti-climactic, peaceful and immediate as far as Communist revolutions as concerned. The "legendary" storming of the Dakeire Byirischeim that led to the overthrowing of High Princess Hana... (forgot her name) when Faeries/Ryeifins (Not fantasy faeries, but Ruralist Faerie movement) breached the Dakeire Byirischeim mostly occurred in one night and almost occurred without incident. This was due to lots of factors that were unique to the Feyris political system.

1945 Communist Revolution was not really the Communist Revolution in Feyrisshire however as far as historians as concerned even in traditional Feyris historiography. The more "violent" revolution i.e the real event that precipitated the Communist consolidation of power was the aggressive farm collectivization of High Princess Tulip Pie Azure in the 1960s where lots of Ruralist Faeries violently resisted collectivization. This was also followed by lots of political purges, such as the expulsion of the Anarchist Priestesses and Sorceresses. For the removal of the bourgouisie, it also occured, but one thing that affected it was the fact that the Weijyahowr mercants and the land gentry had already been weakened by High Princess Shein Mei Nyan's, and High Princess Ryeisse's Social Democratic Purges.

2. It depends on the party.

Lots of parties "that might not be Marxist-Leninist" are granted permission to organize and agitate in the current Feyris "multiparty socialist democratic" system. Most of it however are truly popular national groups such as the Ruralist Faeries, independent representatives who run influentially as representatives of Kairon governments, movements for Kairon autonomy and "left-wing" nationalist organizations and Kyrieist and Ryeifinist organizations. It is actually said that the real reason for the establishment of a Feyris "multiparty democracy" is concession to popular national groups that the National Weijyahowr of Faeries (NWF) cannot control.

However, most of these groups (aside from vague mutualist and syndicalist platforms of the Ruralist Faeries that don't gain any traction) simply kowtow to the NWF's line on socialism, communism and Marxist-Leninism leaving coherent economic alternatives weak or non-existent.

For your question, social democracy is considered to be a rightist deviation by the NWF and is not allowed representation in Feyrisshire. Going by that "American conservatism" or blatant fascism would be a big no-no, and so far no one had the balls to organize one, and also as these movements don't really exist in Feyrisshire. Someone seemed to have organized a "Leftist Social Democratic Bloc of Feyrisshire" back then and got arrested by High Princess Feyris Cherise and Secretary Amaryllis Chrysanthemum, and the party got dissolved, though most also blame Amaryllis Chrysanthemum's vacillating liberalizing policies.

For "blatant fascism", while fascism definitely can't exist and won't be allowed, there is criticism that the current organization "Civic Weijyahowr of High Princesses Shiori and Hana Rei" is dog whistle right-wing nationalist but is forced to speak in Marxist language due to the fact that the Overton window in Feyrisshire has veered to much to the far left.

3. Kyrieism and Ryeifinism are the two national and traditional religions of Feyrisshire and are also the majority religions. In order to understand why Catholicism is treated with hostility that's because it is a foreign religion and is a minority religion with most of its followers expats.

The NWF is not anti-religion, since Kyrieism and Ryeifinism are heavily supported by the government, with the NWF paying for the construction of new temples and paying for the salaries of priestesses and sorceresses.

What the NWF is anti-foreign religion, and proselytization of all foreign religions, such as Islamic and Christian missionaries are banned. For other branches of Christianity, Protestantism (including Evangelicalism) is also treated with suspicion, as all of its missionaries. Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses are also treated the same. All of these restrictions apply to Christian missionaries, not just Catholic. The only exception is Eastern Orthodoxy due to the fact that it is the religion of Russia/Soviet Union, which was a historical ally, but suffice to say Orthodox priests proselytizing aren't also treated well.

For other religions, the same goes to Islam. Meanwhile, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shinto, Confucianism and New Age religions, or really everything are just as seen as weird, but then they are just unpopular and non-existent. If those religions try to proselytize or get established, it also would be treated in suspicion i.e be banned from proselytization or have difficulties in constructing new houses of worship, since they have to get a construction permit.

1. What is the relation of Baizou to Sanghyeok and Sengoku Americas? What are their diplomatic relations like? What do they think about Chairwoman Oomiya Sakura and their relations with her?

2. What would Marxists and Socialists in Baizou think of the People's State of Feyrisshire? Do they support High Princess Reishi Yuri and State Vizieress Yuna Yerninschdowb and their policies? Or do they think we are revisionists who have strayed from the true path of socialism?

3. For a more easier question, have you thought about reformatting your Factbooks and altering their template, or do you think that their template right now best serves your purposes and as well represents well Baizou?

1) Does it peeve you off sometimes that you give AN a long college thesis like response for threads like Thoughts on AN and the BN gives you a low effort comment like "I like you flag" or "ANIME GIRL BAD"

2) What was the process of conceptualising your nation like, and how did you do it?

3) What territories are disputed with the Phillipines and Taiwan? It seems so far away from the Far East/Siberia

4) How many deaths occur from road accidents due to there being no speed limits?

Ooh, these are definitely questions that prompt a lot of thought! I'll do my best.

1. I'm afraid that Baizoan relations with Sanghyeok and Sengoku Americas primarily only exist in the limbo of Forum 7 (and potentially in RPs, were I to do one), since they're so temporally displaced from Baizou's 2004. In the context of Forum 7, Baizou has a positive relationship with both, as Ambassador Mizushima Miya in her role as ambassador-at-large is fond of the nations of Sanghyeok, Cascadia, and California as well as their leaders. But I can't help but also wonder what Baizou's relationship to each would be if they actively coexisted, so I hope you'll allow some speculation on that front:

Baizou's semi-pacifist inclination would leave most people really saddened by the circumstances on the North American continent in Sengoku. But at least diplomatically, it would support California and Cascadia. California's more explicitly socialistic bend would make it a slightly harder sell for more centrist elements in Baizou, but the Marxists and Socialists could probably bring themselves to cooperate enough to push the Labors and Lotuses into accepting California and Cascadia as allies. Unfortunately for Empress Park and Premier Kato, Baizou would probably still not offer any military support; Baizoan voters across the parties generally do not like imagining Baizoan weapons actually being used.

As for Sanghyeok, that's an interesting one to discuss since one of Sanghyeok's premises is that it achieves global government. So the question I want to consider is, would Baizou join? Premier Fukushima would be the most resistant, I think. As much as Baizou has a grand tradition of surrendering to the strongest power, integrating into a global government might seem different from de jure territorialization but de facto independence. Upon seeing how successful Sanghyeok is, I think Miya and Meikawa would throw Marxist and Socialist support behind integrating with Sanghyeok. And perhaps the most Akitamoto thing for Akitamoto and the Lotuses to do would be to ponder Sanghyeok's socialized approach to economics for a good long while... and then come out and say something like "[worker-owned cooperative] businesses gently and fairly competing with each other in a [very regulated] market while the community also supports each other's needs—truly, integrating with Sanghyeok would be the most conservative thing to do!"

As for Chairwoman Oomiya Sakura personally, I think most everyone in Baizou's main cast would get on very well with her. Miya deeply respects Oomiya, both for her success in achieving a free, equal, and successful socialist/communist global utopia and for her serene character. Fukushima I imagine would be slightly suspicious on some level—she'd be inclined to think there must be a catch of some kind—but would generally acknowledge Oomiya's great qualities. Meikawa Tomoko would be impatient with Oomiya's willingness to be friendly with "reactionaries" but would respect pretty much all else. While Akitamoto is quite skeptical of Oomiya's politics, he enjoys her refined poetry combined with her playful approach to other hobbies in life. I think the only member of the cast that would disrespect Oomiya would be Yutani Hiroji; his pessimistic philosophy accepts Marxist critiques of capitalism but believes all socialist/communist solutions are doomed to fail. He would accuse Oomiya of being a de facto tyrant by way of her extraordinary popularity and long life, destined to eventually turn reactionary in some way or another. But besides Hiroji, the cast of Baizou admires Oomiya. Miya would go so far as to say she would like to be friends with Oomiya, but I think Miya perceives too much distance between herself and Oomiya to truly feel like she can make that approach.

2. Hm, the People's State of Feyrisshire. The Baizoan Marxist Party would be highly critical of the state of human rights in Feyrisshire. Summary executions, repression of speech and press, and political imprisonment deeply disturb Baizoan Marxists, who generally insist on a democratic socialist approach to achieving communism little by little with as much popular consent as possible. While the Marxists would be comfortable with some of Feyrisshire's speech restrictions—Baizoan Marxists don't believe in a 'right' to propagate racism, sexism, queerphobia, disinformation, etc.—they would disapprove of Feyrisshire's penalties as being too harsh. (In Baizou, disinformation is more likely to be settled with take-down orders and, at the most, civil suits.) And with many Baizoan Marxists being religious in a syncretic mix of Mahouzouhou and Christianity (often [Baizoan] Catholicism), the nation's hostility to 'foreign religion' is likewise something they don't approve of. As for the High Princess, Baizoan Marxists consider Reishi Yuri's campaign against 'revisionism' too extreme and descending into a 'New Stalinism' (though only the most liberal [as in the conservative philosophy, not as in leftist] Marxists use that terminology; someone like Miya would consider it inappropriate to compare any contemporary socialism to Stalin or Stalinism).

As for Baizoan Socialists, they might be more comfortable with Feyrisshire's and Reishi Yuri's anti-revisionsim (as part of their revolutionary styling, the Socialists are more inclined to think it important to prevent bourgeois counter-movements). Though that is a little strange on the Socialists' part, given that their official platform does not technically include mass collectivization of economics and instead employs selective collectivization with a greater emphasis on societal transformation. And while the Feyrisshire government is officially irreligious, Baizoan Socialists would consider Feyrisshire's de facto tolerance of Kyrieism and Ryeifinism ill-advised and antithetical to the atheism of classical Marxism. Baizoan Socialists would similarly criticize Feyrisshire's retention of the institution of the High Princess for the same reason they criticize the Baizoan Sovereignship: even as a democratically-elected ceremonial figurehead, Baizoan Socialists consider any monarchy or even allusion to monarchy antithetical to socialist egalitarianism.

3. I've given some thought to reformatting, but I probably won't be changing the templates I have now. I like my character templates, and the nation template on Baizou's "front page" suits me alright. When I make changes to the factbooks, it'll probably be more to content than to style.
