1) Image of a steppe. I stole the idea from Patagonia's puppets- they've all got a slightly transparent version of their flag overlayed over an image of something related to the nation. I thought it was cool enough to replicate.

2) Oloughin, for one. Besides that, uh... not sure. She's got friends in her band specifically, and I'm certain she considers other warlords she's worked with to be more competent than herself since she's pretty solidly in imposter syndrome territory, but other than that I've not really written out that much about her. She has no siblings, though, and no descendants. She probably has cousins but given the way bands are structured she likely doesn't think about them as any different from the rest of her bandmates. And she wouldn't respect someone based on blood anyways- Ghesites consider relationships more important than bloodlines except in terms of determining inheritance.

Simply put, very little reason besides emulating Wikipedia's style - that is simply the general theme in lots of my Factbooks and Dispatches, even the tone and the style of writing. Perhaps another reason is that no one else is doing it, so maybe I should!

It could be interesting. However, I lack the motivation to make it so, and right now all I think of its present state is "haha-funi dysfunctional corrupt nation that's somehow perfectly functional lol". In my head it's a lot more interesting- I go into a lot more detail about stuff, add some intrigue, make the haha-funi more of a mask, that sort of thing. However, as I've got not one but two projects I find more appealing, I've put that off for a while.

What do you plan to do with it in the future and what would be the relation of it to your other PT and MT nations in the future, or do you plan to abandon it sometime?

Revamp it, eventually. I might use it at some point but if I do it'll have to be a full-scale remake. Tear it down to its foundational concepts and pull out even some of those. As it is the outside world for it is absolutely incoherent and that really turns me off to it- when writing about my nations I consider them in terms of international relations, external and internal pressures, that sort of thing. I really know nothing about OA's broader world besides "was colonized by not!Brits, courted the not!USSR during the not!Cold War because not!NATO wouldn't take 'em", and I find that concept incredibly dissatisfactory. I'd like to actually give it its own Strangereal-style world to exist in, but that takes a lot of work, and I've already got KG and cannabinoid nation for sucking up all my time as is. So it's pretty much in development hell for now, and will be for the foreseeable future.

But you don't say what happened to the United States. So... what happened to the United States?

OOC: I realize I've asked about Kiu Ghesik's, but I'm still curious about the future: what happens to the Berghi in the future, whether in the Ghesites' "good" or "bad" endings?

And if it's alright to ask, what happens to the Berghi in the far future, like by the modern day? I'm assuming their civilization no longer exists. (but maybe it does? 0.0) Do they get praised by all the nineteenth-century historians as one if the first agricultural civilizations, noble warriors who crush the Ghesite barbarians? Or are the Berghi vilified as pagans? Maybe they're just 10 minutes of an 8th grade social studies lesson that ends up focusing more on Hellenism anyway?

USA launched quite a few nukes, and religious fundamentalists came into power. I used to have a puppet which canonically represented the USA, which weakened. Imagine a very pro-military and pro-USA Westboro Baptist Church becomes the righter-wing party, and the most centrist portion of the Tea Party is the other party, except these two parties are merely the two main wings of the only major party other than the independents.

I mean I'll definitely include lore about them, but I probably won't make NS nations for them. I just did Udaypoyske because I've never seen any Tocharian nations on NS yet, and wanted to imagine what one would actually look like. The only one I can imagine making on NS is a future version of Q&K in the 2100s (it's no longer just Quartia and Karafuto at that point).

Coof put a damper on quite a bit of it. On the other hand this website's pretty nice as a diversion from all that, and I can finally share my creative stuff with others, so it's been really a net plus, actually. I'd hate to stay bottled up in a box writing to an audience of none like I was before I felt comfortable here. I'm being sincere when I say that this website, as cheesy as it sounds, is the only reason my mental health is in as good a state as it is. It's not all been good, of course, but considering that quarantine effectively cut me off entirely from my social groups irl and I'm a lonely boi without friends this website's done me a bit of good.

2. Got any plans to return to any of your older nations? I think I came back after you'd mostly shifted over to KG, so I've not really seen much of them, if I remember correctly.

Eventually I'll revamp OA, as I said above. That was actually my first, though, believe it or not.

Er... honestly, my AP World History class. The way the teacher went to great lengths to lay out how historically we see this trend of so many of history's conflicts being motivated really just by the inevitable growth of cultures and people-groups, particularly with larger yet more compact sedentary societies running into nomads with such radically different ways of life from themselves, was quite interesting to me, and honestly this nation is sort of an attempt to take my take on that macro-level process and zoom it in to a more micro-level.

4. Got any good New Years' Resolutions?

Finish part one of PALISADE within the month, hopefully. Of course, "part 1" is just "get a functional leader factbook and some of the context for the first of twelve tabs", which, uh, that's not a high bar to clear, unfortunately. But when I do it's gonna be great. I promise.
