If Amaranthinos' husband and son wouldn't have been killed can you imagine her to be a far different character? If so, how would you imagine her life?

Yes, although her political views wouldn't change much. She would not be the extremist nut she is today, and, if Amaranthinos decided to go down the path of politics and eventually become the Leader, she wouldn't conduct three purges. She also would relax censorship. Old Amarantha would try to stop the genocide of "barbarians", but she wouldn't mind applying controversial conversion methods upon conquered planets since she was a very religious person.

I like to imagine she would be content as a member of the parliament despite the fact Amaranthinos was ambitious since her adolescence. She would have a large family (around five children and 9 grandchildren), and despite being the horniest woman in the Empire, she would be loyal to her husband. Perhaps it would be the beginning of a political dynasty of sorcerers turned politicians after her children mature.

1. AK-47, of course. Can't beat the AK.

2. Nah, I'd say that given the importance of horses, horses are best pets to them. Dogs would be second best. I say this as a dog person and it pains me.

Not really, just a personal fancy. The first images were a bit of a daydream as a bunch of isekai anime tends to portray them as helpless slaves, tribal people and very cute waifu servants. So I inverted the trope by turning them into the bloodthirsty auxiliaries of an Imperial power whose style of fighting vastly resembled that of the Korean War's Chinese PVA. I guess one could envision a mockery of harem anime in general as I imagined a society where the majority of people were women to be rather unlady-like. Somebody has to do menial labor and die in war.

It was/is also an amateurish take on the nature-vs-nurture debate that evolutionary psychologist geeks go on about. When I included catgirls, that Jordan Peterson guy was all the rage online. OOC: I have Japanese heritage and study East Asian history, and I wanted to explore that in a nation. As for why I named my nation Baizou, that comes from combining different pronunciations of the kanji characters for white and elephant, because for whatever reason I decided early on that Baizou's island has a native population of white elephants.
