I get what you're saying, but actually changing the words in the proposal to that would make it break rule 4.

Oh, hadn't thought of that. My point is that One Player, One Vote is how it actually worked and calling it One Nation One Vote gives the false impression that puppeteers had more than one vote. They didn't.

So... how to phrase it in a way that's both correct and Rule 4 compliant ?!?

Guess I'll use that then, so as to be correct about it.

What's the point of aqcuiring stocks if you're treated in the same manner as a stockholder with only one share? It gives that stockholder economic influence over other people's money.
"Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city is taken! Slay them all!"
>Can I invade other people's regions?

Yes. The practice of "region crashing," where a group of nations all move to a region with the aim of seizing the WA Delegate position, is part of the game. Certain groups within NationStates are particularly adroit at this, and can attack very quickly.
>Once I've taken over a region, can I eject everyone else?

You can try. Invader Delegates tend to have very little Regional Influence, which makes ejecting long-time residents difficult. But Delegates can be as kind, generous, evil, or despotic as they wish. It's up to regional residents to elect good Delegates.

The IPO gave quite an advantage to stockholders with a large puppet army (like myself), and with a long time residing on NS (like, again, myself). I personally ended up with 1.3+ million shares just from my own nations. The NS Community movement sought to overcome this imbalance by asking participants to agree to all participants having just one vote in The NS Community decisions. As the total number of shares indicate, many did in fact agree to this concept despite having quite more than the average number of shares contributed.

We fully support this Resolution! The "Commend the NationStates Community" is a joke and not worthy of being held on the same level as those nations who earned one through commitment and hard work!

NOTING WITH REGRET that a handful of those that participated in The Nationstates Community's rise to prominence attacked other groups that did not share in their goal;

CONCLUDING that, in fact, The Nationstates Community is poorly named and exists to concentrate shares in the hands of a few rather than allowing the many nations of Nationstates to share their power over shares;

NOTING WITH REGRET - To be honest, there's always a few bad nations that attempt to twist someone's arm to go with their ideals.

CONCLUDING - A lot of nations are poorly named, heck, some nations that have some ridiculous names have been commended by the Security Council. Commend The Quote of The Day and Commend a Mean Old Man for instance. Nations had the power over their shares, if you didn't want to be apart of the movement anymore then you was allowed to retrieve such shares back. Concentrating them into one nation was the whole general idea to take control of Nationstates from the Oh Glorious Max Berry.

I'm not supporting this, however, I'm willing to just suggest for you to strengthen your arguments. As of now, they seem like the same old reason for anyone to be condemned/repealed: "Bad" guys hurt people who don't like them.

To also strengthen your argument, use this area to post evidence as to how that handful attacked other groups and the other things I've missed. I usually check this place to see any evidence to sway me to go for/against the proposals, and I'm sure others do to.

Anywho, good luck with this proposal.

Our Free Land approves this repeal: we are bored and just want to see people yelling at each other during the votation.

The Proposal Failed to reach quorum, and is hence no longer in queue.

Can the OP let us all know whether this proposal will be re-submitted, re-drafted, or given up on?

I'm glad to see the failure of this repeal occur in the process of gathering approval from WA delegates.

It appears the rest of the regions do not agree that The NationStates Community is not a representative organization.

And now we have a second attempt at a repeal attempting to reach quorum. I am only posting in here since I did not see a thread about it. It makes use of 'flabbergasted' so I am curious if that is a first for official legislation
