[Second Empire of Brazil]

The Empire of Brazil is a federal semi-constitutional monarchy. The Federal Units (known as states) have a certain degree of autonomy, although their autonomy is minimal when compared to other federal countries such as the United States. Each federal unit has a democratically elected parliament which can be unicameral or bicameral (most states are bicameral), and the parliament elects the state president. States are mostly responsible for the police and other emergency services, road maintenance, and environmental protection.

The General Assembly is directly elected by the people, and the prime minister is elected by the General Assembly. The prime minister appoints the cabinet without any intervention from other forces. The monarch does not hold a merely ceremonial role. The Brazilian monarch has many powers, such as the ability to veto laws, approve laws (although the parliament can veto the Monarch's laws), call for referendums, appoint the Supreme Federal Court judges and its president, dissolve the parliament (a limit of once every seven years), shares control over foreign affairs with the prime minister, can interfere in rulings of the national courts (except for military courts and the Supreme Federal Court), can rule by decree (although this needs authorization from the General Assembly and is granted only in emergency times), call for elections, can give titles and honors or revoke them, appoint several executive officials (such as members of the Federal Police, members of the Central Bank, etc.), and other powers. The list of monarchical powers is very long, and most stuff is not really important to be listed here.

I believe history would call the Most Serene Republic a Noble’s democracy. We tried democracy for a time, but then realized why Plato warned against it. Too many 4am ballot dumps of questionable provenance. So the aristocracy reasserted control.

Our Noble’s Democracy is based upon each Patrician Clan voting for legislation, wherein their vote count is calculated as the clan’s total wealth and the wealth of their citizen clients.

The Menschlicher Sternenstaat's government is unique in the fact that it is essentially a diarchy; this is due to the country's massive history relating to political infighting and the balance of power between the upper and lower classes.

Officially and legally, the country is an elective monarchy to which a conclave known as the Imperial College elects a Sternenkaiser following the death or abdication of the previous. Although holding absolute power over the nation, the sheer bureaucracy and size of the Sternenstaat means a miscellany of tasks are delegated through law and ceremony to the more proletariat, managerial portions of the government headed by the Staatskanzler, or State Chancellor. Thus, both the Star Emperor and the State Chancellor carry almost identical founts of power and influence in the country, with only the former being bestowed the privilege of having a final say in regards to major occurrences for the nation. This tradition was established following the Kasmanite rebellion's victory in the Civil War of the State, which was ultimately brokered through negotations with the pro-aristocratic loyalists.

Hypersocial Palisocracy. The minds of the components of the Horde are able to be merged into one, no matter how distant they are from one another through psychological synchronization. This allows for ditching the concept of government in it's entirety, since o them the collective is merely an extension of the individual. The entire processing capability of one species merged into one is able to process unfanthomable amounts of information., and needs not an external construct to help with the enforcement of a (consensual) law. A common misconception about communal consciousness is that these organisms should have ditched the individual, acting like a mindless swarm. That may be feasible, but it sure isn't desirable. Even a communal macro-organism like a swarm needs specialised and semi-autonomous drones who can serve precise functions. Thus the Horde is capable of subdividing itself into as many individuals and group minds as desirable, all the while remaining sinchronized with the collective.Government, state, it is all superfluous.

Atheara in a way is considered a Parliamentary Democratic Quasi-Dictatorship, with the President, whom is in absolute power has the power to overjudge many of the decisions made by the two Athearan Councils. The President must be responsible, if at any moment 3/4th of the Parliament thinks the President is out of control, they will hire an assassin to kill off the President and vote one of themselves to be the new President. Very cruel, i know.

Is a semi-constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. The power is divided in 4 branches (Executive, Legislative, Judiary, and Moderative).
This last one is a neutral power. It kepts the balance among the other powers and act as arbiter. It gives to the Emperor the power to select senators, dissolve the Parliament, call extraordinary sessions of the General Assembly, sanction legislative bills, temporarily approve or suspend acts of provincial assemblies, appoint and dismiss ministers, suspend magistrates, commute sentences, and grant amnesty. Some of these prerrogatives can only be exercised only after consultation of the Council of State. This system actually existed in Brazil, when it was a Monarchy, and was inspired by the ideas of Henri-Benjamin Constant de Rebecque, Swiss-French political thinker, activist and writer on political theory and religion.
Some of the advantages of such system: the monarch does not have ties to political factions, therefore being able to rule, inside certain competences, thinking above the mere will of temporary governments. The monarch is above the political stablishment, with his power not depending on it, therefore being able to limit the power of it. Limited by the Constitution that makes authoritarianism less of an issue. Also being able to veto budget increases proposed by parliament and also having other important competences.
The constitution is similar to Brazil's 1824 Constitution, although more libertarian in terms of liberties, like the US Constitution. With very strong protections to the right to property, right to keep and bear arms and individual freedom of speech. Although a bit of more authoritarian in terms of freedom for political activities and organizations (such as a clear ban of separatists, communists, e.t.c, of making political organizations and limitations of foreign influence and organizations of acting in the countries politics) and some of the citizens duties. Also includes other things related to some important values. Like an article mentioning the role, prerrogatives and valorization of the defense and police forces, protections of the national sovereignity, protection of the environment, just to mention some of them.

The federal government is made up of two main branches, The Legislative and the Executive. The Legislative branch is made up of the Senate. The senate makes laws, advises the executives on international and domestic matters and represents the states and territories of the nation in executive decisions.
The Executive branch is led by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. The Executive branch is made up of the Ministers, Secretaries, Agency Directors, and other advisors who are mostly the emperor's friends or appointed officials. Alissonovia is a Federal Empire whose form of government is a constitutional parliamentary monarchy under an elective succession among members of the imperial family. The justification for this mode of government is that:

In 2023, the year of the RPG before the reboot in the Novo Brasil region, the country continued to be a constitutional monarchy after the alissense civil war, which ended the Federation of Socialist States (1936 - 1986) and re-established the previous monarchic regime, supported by the Pantarist Faith and by neighboring countries.

It is a federation, as it is a model of State administration established by the communist experience and which had great support, being a demand that dates back to ancient times, in the 18th and 19th centuries.

It is elective, since the alissense culture was based on the Lujkan clan (current dynasty) and the entire family structure in Alissonovia has the cultural thing of electing its patriarch (or matriarch) after the death or resignation of the previous one to represent the entire clan. And as the Lujkan are the family that founded Alissonovia, they are regulated by the Law of the Imperial House, which confirms to the clan the right to elect the Kraldzer (Emperor, in the Aldanian language).

It is a democracy, since its first president (prime minister) is elected by universal suffrage for a term of four years without term limits and he can be deposed by the General Commission, which brings together all the tribunes (district representatives , but not parliamentarians), based on the tradition that each clan or family (and, in democracy, the most influential person in a family group, now the district), has a voice to represent local interests.

The first president is dependent on the Council (hence his official name is President of the Federal Council of State). The Council is made up of ministers and heads of state bodies, and ministers can be appointed by the Prime President with parliamentary approval, but cannot be dismissed unless requested or the term is terminated.

Pre-rewrite, it was essentially just a US-style federal government. Post-rewrite, it'll be somewhere between a confederation and an international union in the style of the E.U.; the states are themselves countries.

The Workers' Federation is a Federal Socialist Republic, comprising a number of regions which are themselves divided into urban and rural People's Communes. The Communes are more or less self-managed, operating under direct democracy in compliance with federal law, and send instantly recallable delegates to their Regional Assembly. In turn, the Regional Assemblies send instantly recallable delegates to the People's Assembly, which is the unicameral federal legislature. The executive branch consists of the State Council, which is chaired by an elected Premier and is composed of the heads of the various Departments. The powers of the executive are generally quite limited barring a state of emergency, and it generally considered to be subordinate to the People's Assembly.

General elections are held on an annual basis to determine the composition of the People's Council, the 27 municipal councils, as well as elected representatives within the labor unions, workers' cooperatives, and the state-owned corporations - the combination of which determines the composition of the presidential National Electoral Commission.

Angelus is sometimes considered to be a dominant-party state - with the Angelan Nationalist Revolutionary Organization the party in power since national independence in 1971. The ANRO, which maintains "parallel institutions" of state due to its longstanding control of these institutions, is governed by its Congress, which in turn appoints the Central Committee and the party's de facto leadership in its Political Bureau.
