Akutavik Republic
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Novo-Alexandrovsk, Akutavik1 March 2020
Dearest Friends,
For most of our brief history, the Akutavik Republic has been a sleepy, isolated little country; not much more than a collection of lowly fishing villages scattered along the Pacific Coast. And although our borders have not grown in the preceding one hundred years, our nation today is anything but "sleepy" or "isolated". Our economy, once dependent upon modest salmon and timber revenues, booms with profits generated by the tourism and energy sectors. Novo-Alexandrovsk, once a far-flung provincial outpost, is today a bustling metropolis, accessible from major cities around the globe. And most importantly, Akutaviks themselves, once strangers to this harsh and often unforgiving landscape, now number more than one and a quarter million strong and are proud to call this peninsula their home.
In spite of this incredible progress we've made over the past century, or perhaps because of it, there are some things though that have not changed. The Akutavik Republic continues to believe in its founding principles of liberty, democracy, and justice for all people. Moreover, we continue to desire nothing but peaceful and cooperative relations with all the nations of the world. The Akutavik Republic is open to forging mutually beneficial diplomatic and economic ties with all who share in the belief of these high ideals. In that spirit, I am pleased to have the honour of launching our embassy program.
We humbly invite nations to consider applying for an embassy in the Akutavik Republic, and if requested, we shall consider applying for an embassy in kind. In addition to the necessary application, I have included a copy of our country's embassy regulations, as well as some other handy information. If you should have any questions, please direct them to my office. We hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Dmitry Sokolov
Minister of Foreign Affairs
