The indigenous Ignatian population are of Polynesian ancestry with roots similar to the Maori of New Zealand, however the majority of the population are descended from white European settlers mostly from Spain, Italy, and Scotland. A large amount of the population are mestizos with both native and European heritage.

The Fostorians (all of them, at least in some way) come from a populous civilization along the Kaarel river in South Fostoria thousands of years ago. They spread out across the continent and developed unique identities and cultures.

The Capitol was first colonized by human settlers around 2093 after the UN colonizer ship Veritas entered a wormhole on the edge of the Oort Cloud and touched down upon what was CJS 1109 b. According to official records, the initial population aboard the Veritas was 525,500 and was composed entirely of skilled technicians and scientists. However, the Veritas was equipped with a cloning laboratory and enough genetic material to create up to 50 million clones which would be cared for by AI units aboard the ship.

The current plan set in place was to slowly go through the genetic material at a sustainable rate; increasing the population but not at a drastic level. However, conflict broke out between the different emerging factions of the colonists. John Sanchez, a high ranking technician of the Worker's Party managed to breach into the genetic laboratory and ordered the AI in charge of the cloning to set the cloning at it's maximum possible rate, using all the material to create 50 million embryos. Sanchez initially managed to reprogram the security intelligence to recognize him as Emergency Leader, a title meant only to be used in the case of emergency. With the backing of the security AI, Sanchez essentially gained supreme power over all the colonists on the planet. Modeling his new regime off that of ancient Rome, Sanchez declared himself Augustus Aeterna. The 50 million children created in the cloning facilities were raised to worship the Emperor as a demigod and essentially be subservient to the state. Jupiter declared the planet Nova Terra and led the colonization of the entire planet.

Nearly a millennia later, Nova Terra is an ecumenopolis with a population of nearly 1 trillion. Augustus Aeterna remains the supreme leader of his now interstellar empire, ruling over billions of stars throughout the Milky Way.

Proto-Australoid peoples migrate from mainland Southeast Asia through the Malay peninsula and spread out through the Indonesian islands, some later go north to the Philippine islands. From here, they evolve into the Igorots, a branch of which migrate from the Cordilleras to the northern island of Luzon. These become the Ilocano, in which a reclusive cult of the sea springs up, causing members and their offspring becoming a semi-distinct peoplegroup, known as the Pako. The Pako are eventually forced off the island due to only making enemies that would later burn Pakolese villages and from there the Pako ended up on the until-then uninhabited island, which they named "Gwalengu," which was their idea of an afterlife.

More Asiatic peoples arrived from Luzon sometime afterwards, and some even arrived from Taiwan, these two new groups being the Aansani and Jumey respectively. In tribal competition, the Pako would prove formidable, but the Aansani would also hold their own. The same could not be said for the Jumey, who would instead hole up in the smaller Wan Mi and Fu Xia islands alongside smaller groups of Pakolese. The Aansani came to know the island first as "Lalakidanon," but as relations relaxed between the Aansani and the Pako, they came to adopt the name Gwalengu, however this would morph and contract over time to become something like "Glangu."

Tribes would live on the Island and in the northern sister islands with little interruption, until Hispanic colonials rolled through the area in the mid 1500's, finally settling the island in 1567, first calling it "Anya" as that was the answer the tribes provided when spoken to in Spanish. (Anya translates to "what?") The Spaniards would move in from Spain and their other colonies, who would start using the name "Glengo," a castellisation of the name Glangu. Wan Mi would go on to be snapped up by the Qing Empire, but missed Fu Xia, as the Spaniards had landed and had begun calling it "Finija." The Islands would remain Spanish (and Chinese) until...

Great Britain engaged China in the Opium wars, giving colonial rites to several cities and Wan Mi, which they had taken to calling "Christina," and would come to control Glengo and Finija as well. New colonists would pour in from GB and other colonies, but not as many as the Spanish brought. Cut to independence, after which Japan takes the Islands before WWII.

Modern Glenganese are a mix of (from most to least) Anglo-Hispanic-Native mestisos, Hispanic-Native mestisos, Pako, Aansani and Anglo-Native mestisos. Other groups include lightly mixed English and Kastellanos (Spanish), and immigrants and their descendants from the Philippines, Indonesia, the Chinas, Malaysia, the Pacific islands, Australia, and New Zealand.

The original Xanthalians were predominantly west Pacific coast peoples and Pacific islanders; everywhere from coastal China, Korea, and Japan down to the Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia, all the way over to Hawaii. Xanthal didn't consolidate into a proper nation state until the middle of the twentieth century however, so global modes of travel were already well established and by the time the country was founded there were many other minority cultures of varying size and influence within the area that became the first Xanthalian territory.

Xanthal is a FT nation now and doesn't even control its original territory on Earth anymore. The descendants of those original Xanthalians who emigrated to the stars have since been joined by several other human and non-human civilizations to form the modern Xanthalian state, but the influence of its original people's genetics and culture are still felt in important ways today.

Location of the Yamna Culture, ca 4000 BCE

The origin of the Kroraini people and their language begins with the expansion of the Yamna Culture on the Pontic Steppe (modern day Ukraine and southern Russia) circa 4000 BCE. Predecessors to this culture are unclear, but it is conjectured that the culture resulted from admixture between Ancient North Eurasians (via whom they also descend from the Mal'ta–Buret' culture or other, closely related people such as Siberians and Native Americans) and Near Eastern people related to Early Neolithic Farmers, with some research identifying the latter as hunter-gatherers from the Caucasus or a similar people also related to Chalcolithic people from what is now Iran.

The ancestors of the modern Kroraini people were among the first people to migrate away from the Yamna homeland, diverging circa 3700 BCE. The exact route of their migration is unknown, or there may have been multiple migration routes — one directly across the steppes through modern Kazakhstan and one around the southern side of the Caspian sea through modern Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan — which arrived in a similar location near the Tian Shan mountains between 3000 and 2000 BCE. By 1800 BCE, the Indo-European pre-Kroraini people had crossed the Tian Shan mountains and settled the of the Tarim Basin, as evidenced by the discovery of the caucasoid Tarim Mummies dating from the time in Loulan and in the Xiaohe Necropolis. Those who remained outside of the basin became the ancestors of the nomadic Yuezhi (月氏) people. Within the basin, the ancestral Krorainis began to diverge into separate groups.

By the 7th century CE, there were at least 3 related but not necessarily mutually intelligible Indo-European languages spoken in the Tarim Basin. These are generally referred to as the Tocharian languages: Tocharian A (also known as Old Agnean or Old Turpanian); Tocharian B (aka Old Kuchean); and Tocharian C (aka Old Kroraini). For centuries, the ancestral Krorainis lived in the Tarim Basin, protected by the harsh climate of the Taklamakan desert from steppe nomads until the beginning of the 9th century, when Turkic immigrants from the collapsing Uyghur Khaganate began to settle in the northern part of the basin. Conflicts between the incoming Turks and the native Old Agneans and Old Kucheans led to many fleeing to Old Kroraini lands, bolstering the formerly comparatively minuscule Tocharian C language and making the city-state of Korla the predominant power in the Tarim Basin.

With the assistance of the Tibetan Emperor Sadnalegs, a Korla Buddhist nobleman named Guṇacandre or Déyuè (गुणचन्द्रे; 德月) united most of the eastern part of the part of the Tarim Basin, imposing his native city's language of Old Kroraini as the administrative language of his new kingdom. The already weakened state of the other Tocharian languages meant that they were easily absorbed into Old Kroraini by the end of the 9th century. Guṇacandre's successors, Kśmavarme or Hùjiǎ (क्श्मवर्मे; 護甲) and Siddharthe II (सिद्धर्थे; 辛達塔), continued to centralise Kroraini authority in the eastern Tarim Basin, first with the aid of the Tibetan emperor Rapalcan and later the Tang Empire after Queen Roce or Láoquè (रोचे; 勞卻) was installed as a claimant by a Tang general, Rèn Zhuāngsūn (任莊孫) circa 850. Though short lived, this Chinese puppet state was essential to the genesis of a cohesive Kroraini ethnic identity, as the Old Kroraini language was used extensively throughout the Tarim basin under Tang authority and even began to permeate into the historically Saka-speaking western part of the basin. The Karakhanid Khanate's adoption of Old Kroraini as their administrative language helped to further proliferate Kroraini among the Saka people in the western part of the basin. It was during this period of Chinese rule that an archaic name for the city-state of Korla, Kroraine/Lóulán (क्रोरैने; 樓蘭), was first used to refer to all the territories controlled by Guṇacandre and his successors. It was also during this time that one of the most prolific pieces of early Kroraini secular vernacular literature, the epic poem The Hidden Flower of Loulan (क्रोरैनेन्त्से एनेस्त प्याप्यो krorainentse enesta pyāpyo), was written.

For a long period after the collapse of the Karakhanid and Mongol empires, the Tarim basin and the Kroraini people were mostly undisturbed until the Qing conquest in the late 1750s. It was after the Dzhungar genocide between 1757 and 1758 that the Qing authorities began to sponsor Kroraini settlement in the former Dzhungar lands to the north, expanding the Kroraini culture and language to its present range.

They are white people, originating from the British colonisation of Buda from 1695-1701. Some are black because Sub-Saharan Africans migrated into the Middle East and onward, until reaching Buda's main land.

The earliest archeological evidence suggests that Drailen people did in fact originate in the deep jungles of eastern Ru and northern Mulwalli before migrating eastward to the shores of the Great Lake of the Sharnese where they formed some of the very earliest organized societies. They then expanded further east, to the ends of Sharna, further south into Mulwalli, north into the Norpalese mountains, and back west filling out the fertile eastern Ruvian regions known as the Dragonlands. There, early pre-written history civilizations cropped up such as the kingdom of "Ardo" in the Misty Valley, the "Jade Kingdom" of "Ing" in the Jade Mountains, The oligarchical city of "Ru" in the Greenwood, the Sharnese warchiefs who formed the early meeting-place settlement of "Urda" on the easternmost border, and the theocratic deep jungle Kingdom of "Syllerath" which is believed to have originated the Draconic Pantheon: a polytheistic worship of 9 dragon-gods that dominated the region for most of it's history prior to Aiden I's unification.

During this time, seafaring was discovered and early Drailen settlers expanded westward to found the Flower Kingdoms in the islands of the Moonlight Shores, scattered tribes in the Oarbay Peninsula, and Sun-stones, Scattered minor city-states on the coasts of the Grainlands, and the very earliest form of the Kingdom of the Meadows. Ardo's mysterious collapse and the subsequent migration of it's powerful factions to found the cities of "Estria" and "Dalemachi'a" pushed the original inhabitants out of the Grainland shores. This, along with human incursion south from Tayatska into the Northern Lakes, triggered a mass migration causing Drailen tribes and groups to shuffle about and either joining up with the Kingdom of the Meadows, or settling into the Sunstones of further south into Strawbai, or traveling west to form the Kingdom of the Hills or formed the tribes that inhabited the forests of the Rainwood. Rainwood tribesmen along the shores of Ru's northwest would eventually venture forth into the stormy waters of the great western ocean, eventually finding a large chain of disparate rocky islands suitable for habitation.

The Dragonlands would eventually be made up of 12 rival city-states that shared a common language (Drailaek, a combination of the pre-written languages of the region, that are now lost to time) and faith, and displayed cultures that derived from some combination of Ardovian, Ruvian, Ingese, Urdan, or Syllerathi elements, but were nonetheless similar enough in thier broad strokes for these societies to acknowledge each other as part of the "civilized" world, as opposed to the various "barbarians" that existed outside their borders. (despite their concept of chivalry being taken wholesale from the Meadow Kingdom)

Eventually Aiden Rel, a mercenary captain from a disgraced and banished branch of the Ruvian House of Rellinaiche, would take the city of Ru and become Aiden I Rellinaiche, King of Ru, and then later would proceed to conquer and unify 9 of the other city-states to become king of the new Ruvian Empire. His ancestors would then take to the sees and conquer the remaining cities of Estria and Dalemachi'a before spreading the empire out to cover all of the areas within Ru's current borders.

Ignoring unsupported conspiracies that our people were "planted on the homeworld by precursors," early archaeological evidence suggests our species evolved within coniferous forests that resided close to lakes and swamps around 50 million years ago. From there, we traversed the continents and became different warring cultures with one another. The Imoya settled in volcanic island chains (albeit with a lot of death involved), while the Koyt and Firsonnin migrated northwards into colder regions.

A cataclysmic volcanic eruption stifled crops and drove herds to migrate, forcing plain-dwelling clans to traverse the mountains and take refuge in lands southeast of the gulf. These clans created Vorota and later Yedînmira; in the following decades, by offering sanctuary for uprooted people and providing centers of commerce for the growing state, the two cities grew into a regional power Mirdane to rival Aldini and Novieii. Both the Aldininian people and the southewestern Vorzemian people are indigenous to coastal plains near the gulf. The people of Novieii and Monte initially banded together to escape a barren homeland, settling Novzem from further up the coast, but several clans emigrated to the mountains due to cultural disagreements and founded Monte.

Novieii and Monte's honor-focused and individualistic culture kept them at odds with Mirdane and sometimes Aldini. The opposing states strengthened alliances and conquered weaker powers, and struck at one another via mercenary and proxy states. Eventually the two alliances engaged in open war; with some difficulty, Mirdane was victorious and controlled the gulf as hegemon. This continued more or less for centuries, with Mirdane not always capable of controlling the hinterland and several times losing access to valuable ports when an upstart lord sought glory for his homeland. Still, no other power managed to threaten the supremacy of Mirdane, and for most in the shadow of Vorota and Yedînmira life was good.

A famous politician and teacher from Aldini, Marcus Tavil, spearheaded the movement for unification in 1865. With only scattered protests, the powers gathered in Zalivtop, Aldini to author the treaty which would create the Zaliv Union of Federated States, with Tavil nominated to lead. Tavil died seven years later, leaving his trusted friend Samantha Nielsson to stabilize the discordant states. At the end of her lifetime she called for a syndicate of several dozen men and women from around the nation to be sent to Zalivtop for the purpose of directing an interim government during the transfer from Zaliv Union to a more democratic Dominion of Ertae. The Dominion and its people have remained largely unchanged since. Despite political restructuring, the cultures were kept intact following a civil war which split the people along the historical line of individualistic west versus collectivistic east in 1976, with only minor changes brought to easternmost Bertonien with an influx of refugees from the collapse of the People's Republic of Berrichtenstein.

The Valentians are originally made up of 500,000+ people, from all walks of life, religion, race, language, etc. They were randomly picked (some added manually) in order for humanity to survive and start a new life, while the other ~7 billion people died from the worldwide nuclear apocalypse.

We didn't have the resources and influence to save everyone at the time, but on the bright side, this was the cause that made Valentine Z the global power (minus Australia).

After "making love like it was the last Valentine's Day", the population went back into the 6 billion figure within the span of 40 years.

[The Fordines]

Our country was originally empty (the main island and the fifteen smaller surrounding islands) was completely devoid of human life for thousands of years. It is rumored that there was a small tribe of Stone Age peoples here, mainly in the rainforest region, but they all either left or died out. It is known, however, that the island nation was home to hundreds of undiscovered species such as the Fordin Greater Porpoise, Fordin Blind Macaw, and the Fordin Dark Chimpanzee.

In the year 1717, two diplomats from nations nearby (the aforementioned nations have dissolved into history, and have been forgotten; they no longer exist) set sail to The Fordines on a rather cramped boat with one hundred protestors against the two nations’ governments. The diplomats, Karl Sa’ah and his “second-in-command” Harry Nosho, sailed back to the larger nations and made their cases against the President and Holy Empress, respectively.

By the year 1718 (the second Friday in May specifically), The Fordines was a legally-recognized country, with over 1,000 citizens before the year even ended.

The main population of my people originated in the Caucasus mountains moved north into Scandinavia form Russia and then moved south into the now Germanic lands displacing the celts, the slavs, and mixing with the goths and other Germanic tribes

So in my lore, an alien empire had gotten pissed at the UN for it destroying a station with their emperor aboard, and vowed vengeance. Society suffered a complete collapse, and North America got the brunt of it. Canada, the US, and Mexico fell relatively quickly, and millions of people were displaced and became either nomads or individual towns, villages, and city-states. But a few syndicates combined into the United Syndicate (this nation's actual name). As it expanded across the west coast, it acquired more and more people. Most are Caucasian, with some Blacks and Hispanics joining in too. We even have a small alien minority, which are from small, abandoned empire colonies found in the north.
