The eldest daughter of the current Princess of the Islamic Queendom serves as heir apparent to the throne and, when the current Princess dies, they will become the new monarch.

The Prime Minister either the leader of the largest single-party in the Royal Parliament or the leader of the largest party in the coalition government.
We are NOT a theocracy
We are a PMT Middle Eastern nation ruled by Princess Jasmine. (Don't ask how we're a Queendom) Our national population is 22 million and our official religion is Islam. Contrary to belief, we are much more liberal than most other Middle Eastern nations.

Piggo leaders are chosen with trial by combat, but with a twist. See the first Piggo, Piggo William Pigman, fought in the Civil War alongside the 20th Maine. To honor him, great piggos assemble their own militias, and then face off. Whoever leads their militia the best is bound to win the battle, and is thus selected as leader.
Don’t worry though, they use paintball muskets so nobody really gets hurt.

The president is elected by a majority of the people. Every 4 years there will be a new election using rank choice voting.

We are a tribal community, but we have a leader, or rather, an entire group - the Fox Girl Council. The entire tribe (which consists of around 300 fox girls) has a vote every 100 lunar cycles (8 or so human years), which decides which five fox girls will replace the old Council members.

The candidates are selected by their community based on whether they are responsible enough to handle such a task, based on their work for the community, attendance at the shrines (religion remains an important part of our society) and obedience to the law. The five fox girls that are selected can then do campaigns around their town (this lasts 2 weeks).

When Election day comes comes, all Fox Girls are gathered in the center of town (around the bridge that connects our two villages together) and they vote whether to keep the old member or replace them with the new candidate. This has traditionally been done with a showing of hands, but in the last few elections we have switched to writing on tree bark, which work sort of like voting sheets. This was done so that the counting was more accurate. The votes can either be for the candidate or the incumbent. The votes are tallied, and all fox girls will be gathered again so that the Council can announce the results.

The fox girls that were selected, if different, will then take on a tradition called "Vulpis Talkati" or "Foxes' Passing", in which the shrine maiden from their village will give their gohei to the old council member. They are then expected to walk across the other side of the bridge that goes over the river and give it to the fox girl that is taking their place. This signifies that the Great Kitsune Mikomi (our leader and hero), as well as our gods and goddesses, will protect them like they protected the previous fox girl that was in their role.

There's also a queen, Izuna Hatsuse, but she isn't voted for.

Generally the Queen's eldest daughter inherits the throne; though there are some tests that must be passed before they can become Crown Princess and officially the heir to the throne, in order to verify they are fit for the role. The Queen can also nominated a different heir, normally one of her younger daughters or a granddaughter, if she feels they are better suited. The candidate for Crown Princess must also be accepted by the Ministerial Cabinet or failing that have the support of the public through a referendum.

The First Representative {name WIP, subject to change} is elected by the sortition selected chamber of parliament (which hold most of the legislative power, and so the FR is essentially head of the legislature) from amongst their number to act as their representative to the Queen (who holds the executive power) and her Ministerial Cabinet.

The Second Representative {also WIP} is elected by the elected chamber of parliament (which does not hold any direct legislative power and is primarily advisory to the sortition chamber, though can draft laws and require the sortition chamber to debate issue they feel need to be addressed as well as set up parliamentary investigations and committees), also from amongst themselves to act as their representative to the Queen and her Ministerial Cabinet.

Should anything happen to the First Representative, the Second Representative takes over the First's role until an new one is appointed.

The Queen retains the right to veto the appointment of either Representative.

The Emperor inherits his position, with the default order of succession being under male primogeniture. However, the Emperor can choose (with Senatorial approval) another person to be his heir.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is elected by the Senate in a pseudo-Electoral College system, with the Senators' votes being determined by their constituents rather than by the Senators themselves, unless it is an emergency.

The White Kingdom of Veise employs a system of hereditary primogeniture. The eldest of the King and Queen's children is the heir to the throne. The King (or Queen Regnant) may at any time change his or her desired heir, which is rare, and the monarch is completely free to abdicate at any time to enjoy some retirement which then their chosen heir is swiftly coronated (or enters a regency if they are not of age in the case that the monarch has for some reason chosen an heir younger than 17). The current Crown Prince is Emile Crestet.

However, if you want to be an unlikable, pedantic jerk, the song actually known as "circus music" would be a version composed for American woodwind bands (and later transcribed for fairground organs) titled Thunder and Blazes, published by Louis-Philippe Laurendeau.

The head of State is elected in the house of Parliament (the Senate, which is elected through electoral colleges), as well as the head of government.

The head of State, the Princeps (also called 'the President'), has to be voted amongst Senators at pre-established date, and his ruling lasts 6 years, not renewable.

The head of government, the Consul, has to be voted amongst summoned Sentarors as well, soon after the legislative elected settlement ('Westminster' first-past-the-post), lasts 2 years.

After the first couple of years, the half-route of the 4 years legislative, the Senate has to vote if to confirm the Counsul, untill the end of the legislature.

head of State and government have got replacement if they can t meet with their terms (see death, illness, trial, resignation), with other figures (Censor, State Consul respectively).

The Censor is a term which referres to the head of the Treasury, State Consul divides his role with the 'first' Consul and it is also the head of diplomacy and commerce.

The King's primary male heir usually inherits, although there have been instances where the nobility meet and select another man to be King. This usually occurs when the line of succession is somewhat unclear, or disputed

Our head of state and spiritual leader, the High Priestess, is appointed by the Privy Council on the recommendation of the outgoing High Priestess. As head of state her position is almost exclusively ceremonial, though she does have a limited power of veto over the passage of legislation in cases where it conflicts with the spiritual values of the church.

Our head of government, the Chancellor, is appointed by the High Priestess according to a rule book that governs our electoral system. Generally speaking though this would be the leader of the party that can command a majority in the Confederate Council.

There is no single leader in Picadie. There are three elected and recallable executive committees in the Confederate government, but they are relatively powerless and mostly just enforce laws.
