Communist Party of Pantopia This party was responsible for the 1947 civil war and ruled the country solely until 2016, when the government liberalized. It is still the largest party in Pantopia. It espouses a relatively moderate form of Marxism and usually campaigns on infrastructure development, wealth distribution, and militarism.

Social Democratic Party This Party is the fastest growing party in the nation, and is especially popular among young people. It preaches a soft transition from communism and the creation of an equality-based market economy. It also pushes for environmentalist causes. It is often seen as a less hardline version of the old communist government.

Reform Party This party is popular with people in the financial sector as well as the wealthy. It pushes for rapid economic liberalization, less regulation and conservative market economics, as well as democratization and civil liberty.

Pantopian National Party This is a nationalist party which is popular with veterans and older people. It has been accused of being xenophobic and even fascist by some. It usually campaigns on economic reform and militarism, as well as keeping foreigners out.
The Democratic Republic of Pantopia
pro: capitalism, gay rights, USA, western democracy, pragmatism
neutral: religion, transgenderism, feminism, communism
anti: conservatism, oligarchy, Donald trump, racism

Note: "Chief language" denotes what speakers of what language the party targets. Similar to Belgium, which has Dutch and French speaking parties, the Van Hool Islands have Dutch and English speaking parties. Parties usually field candidates in areas where their chief language is spoken, although not always. However, members of a party are not required to speak their party's chief language in Parliament. Party meetings and conventions are usually held in a party's chief language.

We only have one political party here, which is The Worker's Party of Peraya. This is a Marxist-Leninist party which has representation throughout all sections of society; however, its main support base comes from the urban proletariat, the military and the intelligentsia. The Worker's Party was originally formed out of a merger of several pro-independence socialist parties and militias and has ruled since independence.

In addition to parliamentarian political parties, Shikihara has corporate associations who are additionally provided political seats in the senatorial lower chamber. These range from religious to economic and are essentially union-parties based on an occupation.

Major Parties
Neo-Futurist Party: born from the futurist art movement, it is dedicated to the values of production and glorification of industrialization. It supports nationalization of the means of production, colonial war with the intent of expansion, and an end to reactionary institutions such as state-licensed marriage. Current leader is the controversial avant-garde artist Ritsu Mikami.

National Spirit Party: the leading party with the most seats in parliament, lead by prodigy Tamako Tsukuda who is childhood friends with the Empress and enjoys her private company. It supports social democratic economics and social conservatism, believing in strengthening the upper house and expanding the military's role abroad.

Yurikai: between 1922 and 1990 ran the country under an authoritarian one party state in response to the defeats that the nation suffered in the naval wars with Britannia. The first leader of the dictatorship, Kanna Kanno, ran the country until her death in 1931 when she was shot down by accident when returning from a visit to the southern theater HQ. Her successor, Yuko Mitsuhara, did not last long and was outed in 1936 by the party to be replaced with Rinko Kobayashi who lead the dictatorship from 1936 to 1955 when the defeats during the Cold War caused the dictatorship to collapse and herself to commit ritual suicide. The party continued to remain in power however, and ran the country until 1990 when the party's board voted to dissolve the regime. The Yurikai is now a democratic socialist party which supports syndicalism, worker rights, and social justice under the leadership of the monarchy.

Reimeikai: an ultra-conservative party lead by Suzune Ayaname which is known for it's aggressive reactionary attitude in politics. It supports a corporatist economic structure similar to other conservative countries, expanded control of priests over social matters, more power in the hands of the monarch, and abolition of foreign religions in the country. Controversially, it's members are alleged to attack foreigners and those who they accuse of corrupting the national spirit.

Major Corporations
National Shrine Association: after the 1854 Shrine Act, all Shinto shrines were unified under one corporation headed by a high priestess who is the daughter, niece, or distant female relative of the Ōkimi. The association's representatives are kannushi or miko, and their politics are normally environmentalist, ultra-nationalist, and expansionist, favoring an absolute monarchy.

National Labor Front: during the Second World War, the Prime Minister, Rinko Kobayashi, forcibly merged the labor unions into one political association, which was granted seats in the newly formed chamber of deputies.
Hegel wrote:“Spirit certainly makes war upon itself - consumes its own existence; but in this very destruction it works up that existence into a new form, and each successive phase becomes in its turn a material, working on which it exalts itself to a new grade..”

Strictly speaking, there are no parties on the federal level. All executive and judicial posts are non-partisan. In the legislature, there are political groups called cadastrḁ (translated as "cadres") which are coalitions of state-level parties and like-minded independents, comparable (though not identical to) European Parliament groups in real life. Within the legislature, cadres behave like parties do in other legislatures, though they are far less cohesive and have fewer means at their disposal to discipline dissident members. This is mainly because cadres are not allowed to participate in elections or fund campaigns, so Delegates are more accountable to their state party (if applicable) and their constituents than they are to the cadre leadership.

The current cadres represented in the Cambrium are as follows:

Shaftonist-Republican Alliance (SRA)
Ideology: Conservative liberalism, Liberal conservatism, Political Shaftonism, Ordoliberalism, Neoconservatism, Radical centrism

The SRA was the leading force in Kiravia's recovery from the economic collapse of Kirosocialism. It is a big-tent party that includes conservative liberals, liberal conservatives, political Shaftonists and Neostoïcs, various flavours of pro-market centrists, and also many non-ideological "parties of power" that have entrenched political dominance in their respective states. It is the cadre that is most supportive of modern capitalism and an active, interventionist foreign policy. While it is socially conservative by Western standards, it has less interest in shaping Kiravian culture and morality through legislation than the CSU, CR, or CNA. The core of its platform is promoting economic growth through a sound and sensible regulatory régime, harmonisation of state licensing and property laws to promote competition and market uniformity, and investments in education and human capital to maintain international competitiveness. It draws support from the financial, commercial, and high-tech/biotech sectors; the business class, and coastal metropolitan areas most generally. Its neoconservative wing is increasingly popular in the overseas colonies. The key to the party's long-term preëminence, however, has been its ability to win the largest share of votes from the metropolitan middle class, who are the main "swing" demographic in Kiravian politics.

Caritist Social Union (CSU)
Ideology: Christian democracy, Distributism, Integral humanism, Third Way, Subsidiarity, Christian left

The CSU has consistently been the second-largest cadre in the Cambrium since the end of Kirosocialism. Along with the SRA and LG, it was a leading force in the anti-Kirosocialist opposition movement, and since then it has always played a significant role in shaping policy. Its Christian democratic ideology has been the main check on the market liberalism of the SRA, seeking to balance economic growth with social justice and the stabilising institutions of religion, community, and family that it sees as crucial to a healthy and functioning society. The cadre promotes policies that protect small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as the mainstay of the Kiravian economy; increase property ownership, micro-enterprise, and family-owned businesses in less-developed areas; put coöperative and employee-owned enterprises on an even playing field with conventional companies; and de-centralise the banking sector by incentivising the formation of local credit unions. It is traditionally much more friendly toward labour than the SRA, and maintains close ties with certain Christian trade unions, but avoids (in both policy and in rhetoric) categorisation as a labour party preferring to follow the Christian democratic ideals of solidarity and class collaboration, rather than representing a particular class. It is very socially conservative in comparison to the SRA and LG, but is less nationalistic and culturally protectionist than the CNA. The CSU is traditionally the cadre most in favour of humanitarian aid overseas and engagement with international organisations. Its strongest supporters are Roman Catholics (though it has supporters from all Christian denominations, Mandæans, and Sikhs), and draws further support from the health and education sectors, smaller cities and micropolitan areas further from the coasts, landowning farmers, and workers in the types of industries it advocates for. It is also competitive among the metropolitan middle class.

Conservatives & Reformists (CR)
Ideology: Traditionalist conservatism, Palæoconservatism, Distributism, Agrarianism, Integral Humanism

The Conservatives & Reformist Group is a heterogeneous assortment of political forces opposed to the economic and institutional modernism of the SRA, CSU, and other cadres. These include parties representing the quasi-feudal agrarian societies of South Kirav, representatives of Aboriginal communities, Traditionalist Catholics, conservative Protestants, religious minorities (Muslims, Jews, and exclusive adherents of the pre-Christian Coscivian religions), small and insular Coscivian ethnic groups in the interior, and residents of the less-developed portions of states where the SRA and CSU dominate (such as Upstate Kiygrava). The Conservatives and Reformists are culturally conservative and favour both legislating morality on religious grounds (like the CSU) and using legislation to protect Coscivian culture from Western internationalist influence (like the CNA). They are soft antifederalists, opposing federal intervention in state governance and the expansion of federal programs and regulations. They place much faith in non-state and pre-state institutions, and support creating more space for localities, religious bodies, ethnic communities, clan organisations, and (in South Kirav) manorial institutions in matters of governance. It is sceptical of the SRA-CSU-CNA pro-growth agenda, and favours a more stable, sustainable approach to economics. Electorally, it has solid support in South Kirav, the Míhanska Bay region, and a strong presence in less developed areas of the Northern and Northeastern coastal states. However, it has a much weaker hold on the critical metropolitan middle class than the SRA or CSU, and little support from the overseas colonies.

Coscivian National Alliance (CNA)
Ideology: National conservatism, Coscivian nationalism, Dirigism, Economic nationalism

The Coscivian National Alliance fundamentally identifies Kiravia with Coscivian civilisation, and views protection of its territory and its Coscivian character as the paramount responsibility of the state. It supports (further) restrictions on immigration from countries and ethnic groups that are strongly influenced by Western internationalist culture, though it is tolerant of immigration by non-Western groups, particularly those that they feel can assimilate well into Cosco-Kiravian society. Its cultural policy has a more comprehensive focus than that of Western national-conservative parties, and includes legislating against the borrowing English and Græco-Latin words into the Coscivian languages, in favour of abolishing 24-hour time and returning to the Coscivian 20-marr clock (which is still used extensively in much of the country), and working with other Coscivian countries and Azikoria to build alternatives to Western-dominated international and transnational institutions. Economic and foreign policy are also important to the CNA platform. In contrast to the ordoliberal and distributist models espoused by the cadres discusses above, the CNA favours a centralized economy with significant governmental intervention in the form of indicative planning, nationalisation of certain industries, protectionism, and tripartite labour negotiations. One of its most popular policy proposals is the formation of a state-owned oil and gas corporation and a state-owned nuclear monopoly to help stabilise energy prices in the Federacy and cushion the effects of fluctuations in the global oil market on the Kiravian economy. The CNA envisions a much stronger an more active federal government than the federalist SRA, subsidiarist CSU, and soft-antifederalist CR. Because its platform deals mainly with federal issues, CNA-affiliated parties have a comparatively small presence at the state level, and a high proportion of its Delegates stand as independents. It draws support mainly from industrial workers, the working- and lover-middle classes in the outer parts of metropolitan areas, and members of the Antaric Coscivian ethnic groups.

Liberty Group (LG)
Ideology: Libertarian conservatism, Neoliberalism, Antifederalism

Originally one of the largest members of the National Renewal coalition that dismantled Kirosocialism (alongside the SRA, CSU, and CR), the Liberty Group was influential in the first decade of the post-Kirosocialist era, but has since declined to a tertiary tier of influence below the CR and CNA. It runs on a platform of downsizing the federal government, limiting its jurisdiction and the scope, decentralising its powers and responsibilities, and de-professionalising its political class. It has a more individualistic conception of Kiravian culture and human nature than the other cadres, believing strongly in personal autonomy and self-reliance. It trusts civil society and the private sector to address most issues of governance. Unlike many Western libertarian parties, it is socially conservative in certain respects (such as opposing abortion) and is not influenced by Austrian economics or Objectivism. Parties affiliated with the LG exist in most states, and maintain varying levels of representation at the state and local levels, but nearly all of its federal Delegates are elected from states in the Eastern Highlands and Western Highlands, which have strongly individualistic regional cultures and a strong distrust of government authorities. The overseas colonies of Daridia and the Noralpine Republic are also LG strongholds.

New Deal Alliance (NDA)
Ideology: Kirosocialism, Socialist market economy, Scientific socialism, Left-wing nationalism, Christian socialism, 21st Century Socialism, Democratic socialism, Social democracy

The NDA emerged after the fall of Kirosocialism as the various splinter factions of the Kirosocialist Party were forced to coöperate in order to retain any measure of influence at the federal level. Originally composed of different doctrinnaire Kirosocialist parties who disagreed mainly on leadership and on who to blame for the collapse of the old Party, the NDA later coalesced into an alliance of doctrinnaire Kirosocialists, reform-minded Kirosocialists, economic nationalists with a socialist bent, and disciples of non-Kirosocialist strands of socialist thought, such as religious socialism and Western democratic socialist and social democratic thought. The contemporary NDA advocates a socialist market economy characterised by exclusive state ownership of large-scale manufacturing, natural resources, transportation systems, and utilities, with significant state ownership in other sectors of the economy; indicative planning, strong state oversight in international trade, and an extensive public welfare system. It also supports a non-interventionist foreign policy and a strong role for the state in guiding social and cultural life. In the post-Kirosocialist era, it has had to struggle against the electorate's antipathy for the old Kirosocialist régime and contend with the fact that the CNA has appropriated the elements of the NDA's economic platform with the most electoral appeal and recast them as its own. As a result, the NDA has lost seats in every election since its formation. It draws support mainly from industrial workers, fishermen (the safest NDA constituencies are in fishing-dependent island states) former government employees from the Kirosocialist era, and the Brythonic Celt minority.

Kiravian Free Alliance (KFA)
Ideology: Populism, Direct democracy, Social credit, Agrarianism, Wikiocracy, Antifederalism, Civil libertarianism

The most recently-formed of the cadres, the KFA comprises a diverse array of populist groups calling for radical reform of the Kiravian political system and economy. The cadre's platform is still in its formative stages, but the political parties and civil society groups involved in its foundation range from social creditists to agrarians to internet freedom activists to Georgists to supporters of "Wikipolitics" to advocates of a gift economy. Its component groups appear united in their objection to the current order, but far from unanimous on the policy solutions they would like to see in its place. The KFA's present Cambrial delegation is a merger of the anti-establishment Direct Democratic Front, the hard-antifederalist Kiravia of Regions cadre, and several agrarian members of the LG.

My opinions do not represent any NS governments I may happen to be in (yeah right), any RL governments I may happen to be in (yeah right), the CIA, the NSA, the FBI. the Freemasons, the Illuminati, Opus Dei, the Knights Templar, the Organization for the Advancement of Cultural Marxism, Opus Dei, or any other organization. Unless I say they do, in which case, there is a nonzero chance.

The sole legal party is the Revolutionary Socialist Party, which espouses communism, revolutionary socialism, Trotskyism, internationalism, and environmentalism.
