I'm not sure if I got the time to commit to such an RP, in those RP's I need to put strong effort into my posts to pump out anything decent unlike in simpler War RP's and I'm currently already participating in an RP and I'm having my Exam year, so I don't know if I can afford to invest the time needed into it.

Most of the major RPs I'm in are either coming or have come to a close, so I'll probably be able to direct most of my effort towards it if need be.

I think I know why these threads keep dying: it's because Pony Lands hasn't updated their WFE to include the new incarnation. Since Novaya has pretty much left the Brony fandom behind on Nationstates, I was contemplating resurrecting the group and working with Magical Equestria to make this a true reincarnation of the original CoPS (that being it actually tied to Pony Lands). [Note: apparently not the ORIGINAL original CoPS. This has a longer history than I thought.] Either that, or somehow editing the OP, but I'm pretty sure only Novaya can do that.
Ooh, I know what I can do: I can create a new thread and send TGs to all registered CoPS members.

To expand on the above, what role do ponies play in your nation?Citizens, more or less the 20% of the total population (with five ponies as provincial governors, tree on the Upper House and 25 on the Lower House)

Nimble Spirit was relaxing slightly after his 'round-the-island patrol. He was not particularly keen on flying around the entire island, especially since nothing of consequence ever happened here in Catholic Equestria, but those were his orders and he was meant to follow them. "Oh, well," he thought to himself. "Another two hours and I'll be off the clock, and back with my family." He thought fondly of his wife and two colts, who were always happy to see him when he returned home. His gaze then slowly drifted over to his two wing-mates, Skyward Flourish and Eastern Course. Skyward, a mare, was one of the newest recruits to the Pegasus Guard, and had only been assigned to Nimble's squadron a few days before. So far, she was demonstrating her prowess by not only keeping up with the veteran Nimble but even at time outshining him speed-wise. Perhaps one day she would make captain herself. Eastern was an older stallion, but was full of wisdom and experience. He had been a member of the Pegasus Guard for as long as Nimble could remember, and was one of its most respected members in all of Catholic Equestria.

"Nimble, aren't you going to get a drink?" Skyward asked, looking up at him with her big green eyes. "We'll have to start another patrol in a few minutes." Nimble hesitated, not because he wasn't thirsty, but because he didn't want to show any weakness, physical or otherwise.

"Nah, I'm alright," he said. "I can wait until after the next patrol."

"Aw, shut up and get your flank over here," Skyward teased, seeing though the good-guy approach of her captain. Nimble couldn't help but chuckle at his wing-mate's disarming persona.

"Well, if you insist," he said, trotting over to the gently flowing stream and taking a few sips of the cool, rushing water. Eastern was perched on the grass, his forelegs tucked underneath him as he rested. Sure, he was getting along in age, but this had not yet affected his ability to be an active member of the Pegasus Guards, one of the two major armed forces in Catholic Equestria. As his younger wing-mates finished their drink, Eastern's ear flitted slightly. Something was amiss.

"You hear that?" he asked in his gruff voice. Nimble and Skyward tilted their heads and ears upward as well, trying to pick up whatever sound their veteran partner had herd. Before either could voice their opinions on the matter, Eastern had clambered to his feet and unfurled his wings. "Let's go, something's coming," he said bluntly, and with that took to the skies. Nimble and Skyward looked at each other with concern, but decided to follow Eastern, since it was rare that he was so active like this.

The three pegasi were soon joined by another squadron of scouters, who had seen them take off from nearby.

"Where are we going?" one of them asked.

"I dunno," Nimble replied. "Our wing-mate thought he heard something."

"This better be worth it," another of the pegasi said irritably. "I was just about to ask Blaze out on a-"

"What in God's name is that?!?!?" cried Skyward. This got the attention of all six pegasi, who looked in the mare's direction. A few hundred feet below was a squadron of five strange-looking ships, all dull grey in color. They were heading straight for Coltingham Island at high speed, and showed no signs of stopping.

"Get closer, and see what those things are," Nimble shouted. With that, the six pegasi shifted into a wedge formation and dove toward the mysterious vessels.
