Reply from the Senate: Even if we are conquered, it will not be an easy path for you. You will face many rebellions. In the long run, you shall loose. The Senate has begun voting on whether to use our biological weapons.

Considering the way your politicians rule, we'd be surprised for any rebellions. We hope that the senate does not start a war. Neither of us surely want the causalities of millions simply because of gay rights.

Although I, Mullah Abdul Amin, and the Supreme Council for the Restoration of Kananistan do strongly condemn the immoral practice of homosexuality, I refuse to allow this issue to drag the Emirate of Kananistan into a total war that threatens millions of innocent lives. Indeed we shall continue to condemn the decision of the Workers' Council, but certainly God, the Beneficent, the Merciful, will ultimately be the judge of your fate.

The reason behind this is because you made a gay pride parade and opened gay bars. We are against those horrible homocentric acts.

We will help the Orson Empire in its motion, whatever it may be. Close your gay bars and we'll change our mind.

We already have non-gay bars. We believed it would be smartest to also create gay bars. Social equality is what we are trying to achieve. We also have unisex bathrooms and such.

Anyhow, we cannot change the rule. It has been voted in, and stays there.

From the Desk of First Secretary of State, Franz Olixander

As a nation, we support Bitennene's decision in the legalization of homosexual practices and repealing of barbaric laws restricting such freedoms. And we urge you to not back down to the threats of other nations. Do not let them decide your laws. We hope that your nation's newfound openness and accepting nature will spread to other countries across the world.

We are very sad about the fact that the religious will bring a war upon a country that has simply stopped a genocide of sexuality. The people of Britennene are happy with the decision, and we believed that would suffice. It seems that was not the case...

How can we help our own when people of other countries reject the decision done by our elected government?

-Vladili Medveests, prime Chairman.

My Dear Chairman Medveests,

You can help your people by supporting their decision and by reminding them that they should remain proud of their accomplishments.

Meh on embargoes and sanctions. There are other nations who would fill in where the others have withdrawn.

Should it become too severe to the point of disrupting your nation completely, please have your nation's delegate approach the General Assembly's offices for further information or assistance.

And what about the closure of gay bars we, the government of Salemland, proposed?

We consider bars shouldn't be labelled with a sexual orientation, nor school, hospitals, or any private or public places. We don't have problem with gay marriage itself, though.

We may consider that later. But now as homosexuality has been legalized the first time in Britennene, we wish to keep the bars to represent the gay community. At least for a while.

From the Imperial Senator's Press:

"Legalization of Homosexuality was one of the best moves you could possibly do, leaders of Britenene. The Grand Roman Empire sends their absolute congratulations on getting one step closer to Civil Rights. As a token of greatness, I, the Imperial Senator, Belphegor, rewards you The Ravenna Equality award under behalf of the Roman Imperialist Party. Purgatism has a subset that follows Homosexuality that would one day, be an option to any human being living. We thank you for making the world more closer to becoming equal to all.

The Goddess of Love blesses you.

Imperial Senator Belphegor and Emperor Mario Monti I.

No. We have the same experience. Britennene was successful, until it just suddenly clicked and failed. The unemployment rose to 40%, people died of hunger, Britennene was on the edge of anarchy. The Communists saved Britennene from that destruction, and fixed everything for us. Our life expectancy doubled, our literacy rose dramatically high. Our workplace happiness has never been this high. Frightening economies mean nothing when the people here and elsewhere are oppressed because of it. Capitalism may succeed economically, but it is a social disaster. Always has been. There was no political flaw, it simply failed our economy. Took our jobs. Nobody will touch Britennene but the Workers' Committee. No right-wing party has been elected into it for a decade, and will not be elected. Our eyes opened when our workers died of hunger in factories.

...Then thus our experiences were vastly different. Capitalism, for us, resulted in social ascendance and extremely low unemployment. Obviously the system was flawed, and so obviously another allegedly less evil view was taken. Consequently, you are here, shaken by what was obviously atrocious luck. Our sympathy mixes pungently with our disappointment.

PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE
Personalised message from the
President of The Republic of Woodstead

To the government of Britennene,

I applaud your efforts to increase the equality within your state. With such a strong margin of equal rights granted by your legislators, the debate was obviously worth a mention, as well as being inspirational. This is not just a step of homosexuality, and not just a step for your, hopefully proud, nation, but also the world,
Whether it's deemed wrong or right by religion or biased regimes of governance, homosexuality will still be there in mind, so why try to eradicate and restrict it? Obviously, the polls have answered this, so we welcome your option to legalise. Trade embargoes and supposed attacks are so facile and juvenile, so the fact that the legaliston comes at that very risk, really does shock myself and the nation of Woodstead, as well as inspire us that your nation prevails in its endeavour to serve the people and not the profit or even the prophet.

Our best wishes lay with you, Britennene.

Regards,
Miss Eniko Sipos
President

Less evil than capitalism, yes. The people chose the Communist Party from Social Democrats, Liberals, Centrists, and other right-leaning ideas. The people wanted Communism, and received enormous aid from it. We have worked hard to success in Communism, and it has worked wonderfully.

For the people of Britennene, Communism has brought liberty and life quality. Only good for us. You will not tolerate what Britennene has voted for? It's democracy. Also, the gay bars are not permanent. They remain symbols of the liberation of the gay movement of Britennene.
