Hello All,

Rho Ophiuchi would classify as a Tier 5 society. While officially slavery is banned, a large minority of the population live in conditions that approximate it - either as workers in factories being paid only in company money (which is the most common), or as prisoners outsourced to corporate-run prisons that use forced labour.

Additionally, organized crime is so common that underground forced labour to a crime ring is a reality for over a percent of the population.

Even if the government wanted to stop these, which it does not since it is controlled by a plutocratic oligarchy of corporations, it does not have the power to.

Thankfully, these conditions only total about a fifth of Rho Ophiuchi's population, and are rarely carried over through generations.

Tier 6 Society: Zarnicovia Nova uses massive amounts of forced labor. Any opposition to the central government results in being arrested and most crimes including non-political are punishable by forced labor or death. Rebels also have a similar status with any opposition to them if caught also resulting in death or forced labor.

Forced labor expeccially for the central government holds up their war effort and economy.

[Independent Cossack Ukraine]

Independent Cossack Ukraine is a Tier 1 Society. Slavery is totally illegal and carries the death penalty. Our military, particularly Special Forces, has been known to break up slave trading and human trafficking rings, both in Ukrainian territory and abroad (to assist our allies).

[Juansonia]

Juansonia constitutionally prohibits chattel slavery, and it also prohibits forced labor beyond the contexts of conscription(with the option of civil service for objectors), punitive labor, and civic duties. All of these exceptions are regulated such that calling them "slavery" would be incorrect. While the constitutional provisions banning slavery can theoretically be repealed, campaigning on it would be political suicide. Laws prohibiting slavery are enforced fully, and Customs officials stop almost all inward trafficking. Between compulsory military service, modern communications, and fighting classes offered to secondary school students, enslaving a Juansonian tends to be particularly difficult. For this reason, the few slavers still operating tend to target tourists and immigrants, which resulted in urban police departments shifting their resources accordingly.

All slaves on Juansonian soil are legally freed simply by being on Juansonian soil. In cases where diplomatic immunity would prevent the conversion of de jure freedom to de facto liberation, persona non grata status is used heavily. However, it should be noted that Juansonia does not use embargoes or military action against slavery-allowing nations in most cases. However, it does take action of this sort when Juansonian citizens (and other high-importance persons in the eyes of Juansonia) are victims of slavery. Juansonia does take less direct measures, such as imposing a tariff on all goods produced in a slavery-allowing nation which haven't been verified as having a slavery-free supply chain.Juansonia has imposed full trade/travel embargoes on several entities simply due to the use of slavery, and all slaver states are subject to an arms embargo.

I'd say that this renders Juansonia in Tier Two.

Aensland is a Tier 1 Society. We work with other nations that have an interest in ending slavery in hopes of stopping the practice even outside our borders.

Balazar is a Tier 9 society. Most citizens are in servitude in some form or another, and their masters are under no obligation to treat them well.

[Seorabeol Federation]

Seorabeol is Tier 1 Society. Seorabeol has succeeded in completely eradicating illegal slavery in the country, and the police are still actively cracking down on illegal slavery. Seorabeol also maintains its opposition to slavery outside the country.

While currently we are a Tier 2 society. During the Civil war that razed the nation during 1941-1964 there were 3 groups (Communist gov't, Democrats and monarchists)

After the war ended with monarchist victory they quickly changed to a tier 4 eventually coming here to a tier 2

Tier 2 society: The people of WoodMarshland hate slavery, enforce laws against it, and lack the manners displayed by political elites of certain other anti-slaver states in negotiations with slavers, despite this the hatred of war is such that the Grand Duke doesn't fight beyond the borders of the anti-slaver world.

Tier 5 Society: Would be tier 2 if not for “large scale prison labour”.

Sagrea would be considered a Tier 2 nation. While Sagrean values and ethics vehemently oppose slavery, the country is rather isolationist, even with recent efforts to expand in the international stage. Thus, our political policy when faced with nations of opposing practices or values is to simply not engage with them. The only exception so far has been Yueqiu, though they asked for our help before any action was taken.

Tier 6: while slavery is officially illegal in Aesmenia and the Isles prison labor is used in almost every prison and on almost every inmate, they have no legal defense from it and risk beatings and phycological torture from the guards if they refuse

Rhodevus is a Tier 1 country. Slavery is very much illegal.

Tier-1 Society - Slavery has been outlawed since 1863 and the last slaves in Cascadia were freed in 1899. With usage of the ISO, the National Security and Intelligence Service of Cascadia, and local police, has helped to crack down on illegal slavery. Additionally, Cascadia has supported and lobbied for crack-downs on slavery, has helped cut down slavery internationally, and funds services to help patch up the roots of Modern day Slavery.

Kaywell, being an archetypal herrenvolk democracy, is a Tier 9 Society, with its culture and society revolving almost completely around the oppression of non-tabulons. The Nerus Korndelia System, a very strict century-old caste system ranking the Kingdom's member species into ranks based on species, forms the centerpoint of Kaywellian society and essentially sentences all sentient lifeforms aside from tabulons into slavery under the tabulons. In fact, the majority of Kaywell's population is comprised of enslaved non-tabulons. Particularly low-ranking species such as the tertanians and imperatiyans experience exploitation, unsafe working conditions, physical abuse, emotional abuse, torture, and other atrocities on a regular basis. Aside from non-tabulons, LGBTQ+ tabulons and autistic tabulons are also held in de facto slavery by the populace, who views said groups as sinful; in addition to slavery, such groups face genocide and unethical experimentation by both society and the government at large.

In addition, Kaywell encourages slavery abroad by carrying out violent invasions of any nation and species it encounters. Kaywell's expansionism is motivated by a desire to enslave all sentient lifeforms under the tabulon race, which the Kingdom views as divinely blessed and inherently genetically superior. In addition, attempts to criticize Kaywellian slavery are met with harsh resistance from the military and the Morality Police, with abolitionists receiving public torture and execution. Furthermore, similarly harsh punishments are in place for non-tabulon slaves who attempt to deviate from their assigned roles as slaves.

Tier 1. Modern slavery is punished in the UEH with penalties which may go to up 50 years in prison to life sentence or the death penalty.

The Infernum is solidly Tier 9. Not only are damned souls considered property and tortured and violated nonstop, but live humans are kept as slaves as well. They make better laborers, though they are also used as playthings, soldiers, and livestock too. However, many demons are also slaves to more powerful demons. A demon who swears an oath is bound by it. This is called a Covenant and it binds them into servitude to the one they swore to. It's a well respected form of social advancement to force ones enemies and rivals into such Covenants.

As country We hate slavery and consider being a slave or becoming slave if returned a way to become refugee.
In case of conflict any slave will become emancipated and has the option of become citizen by spoiled blood. If He/She supports us actively.

Also We will activelly stop for inspection any suspected slave vessel in my EZZ or airspace and seize it if it is the case.

The Crimson Isles is likely tier 5, mainly due to their extensive usage of prison labor, as in their eyes, many criminals have basically given up their rights as a citizen by committing a crime.

The City is officially a Tier 2 society. The 601 Employment Order specifically prohibits slavery and other similar employment conditions, which would endanger a worker's life, limb, safety, dignity and rights. It also encourages other nations to stop imposing slavery, but is unable to emancipate people outside the city due to its neutrality and non-interference policy. Pragmatically, it is a Tier 4 society: there are almost no instances of slavery, therefore enforcement of the 601 Order slavery prohibition clause is impossible as of the moment.
