Yes, it's an insult within a certain context. And it's certainly not comparable to saying something like "You Christian!" for numerous reasons. The most obvious being that Christians are not a race of people. And let's be realistic -- the term "Jew" being used as an insult has more to do with common stereotypes about Jews than anything. I don't think I need to elaborate on what they are.

Honestly, if you can't understand why it could be and is used as an insult, you probably need to stop being so politically correct and recognize what the pejorative term "Jew" actually means.

Is it really necessary to even ask the question posed in this thread?

If I was told to call someone African-American rather than Black, which is unlikely as I am not in America, I would just reply "Fine, from now on you will not call me White, you will call me Anglo-Hibernian Xanthrochroid".

Sorry, but the word is "black" unless you have recently immigrated from Africa. It's 1 syllable instead of 7, and it's not an insult unless the context or tone makes it insulting.

I am sorry but this argument is so ridiculous, I mean someone said by using jew as an insult you are carrying on the work of the nazis.... what are you crazy? When you call someone a jew or tell someone they have jew hair it isnt rascist or an insult just a joke which everyone understands including the jew haired person. I mean seriously people should just calm down its not rascist its just a joke which has come around from things like South Park and stuff like that. People should stop saying conspiracies theories and no amazingly Christians dont teach to hate Jews andif you want proof you can go on youtube and watch every single mass which has ever happened since the beggining of time! .. I think.
Its like my friends lebonnese and has hair which looks like pubes/ jew hair so we call him jewish he gets annoyed, but that doesnt mean I hate jews or think they all have pube hair its just the thing which winds up the annoying jew... oh wait sorry that was rascist :blink:
