I have been reading about Abraham Lincoln, and have decided he is a communist. He freely distributed land in the west to poor farmers. In fact, his motto was Vote Yourself a Farm and Horse. He fought a civil war with the white Southerners who wouldnt acept his leadership, much like how Lenin fought a civil war against the white Russians who refused to acept him. He freed the slaves, just like Lenin freed the proletairiet. Many of his gennerals were marxists. Marx even called Lincoln "son of the working class. And we all know that he was born in a log cabin before becoming president, and how can poor people progress in life without socialism? And lets not forget he was assassinated by a borgeoise actor. Yes, theres no doubt about it, Lincoln was a communist!

Lincoln had some interest in Marx and socialism, and wrote on that now and then but alt history people just go ham with the idea of Lincoln as the founding father of American socialism in one form or another and it's all just reaching?

He was clearly intrigued by certain aspects of the socialist program as it existed in his time (back when socialism was still in its utopian stage) but he never advocated for wide ranging socialist or communist policies during his time in office.

So no. Lincoln wasn't a communist. Or a socialist. Or a democratic socialist. Or a social democrat. Or a Marxist. Or any of the other labels y'all like to argue about

I think Lincoln was definitely a communist, as OP has bravely illustrated. Patriots everywhere should denounce his legacy and that of other early communists such as Thomas Paine, and seek to return to the sanctified authority of the English crown and church
