The M4, M16, and CAR-15 don't use the "AR-15" trademark. The AR-15 family-tree is a funny one.
I think the only people who bought actual armalite production AR-15s with full-auto would be some tribals in Africa, the IRA, and some Belgian law-firm.
BTW, the Air Force did purchase Armalite AR-15's from a catalog. It wasn't until the Army got involved that the M16 was standardised.
