Human Rights Group Sues to End Unconstitutional Federal Switchblade Ban

Knife Rights Chairman Doug Ritter said, “Under Supreme Court precedent, the Federal Switchblade Act cannot pass muster and must be enjoined. The Federal government has no right to restrict interstate commerce in commonly possessed automatically opening knives of any type, or to ban their possession. The interstate trade in automatically opening knives is essential to the right to acquire these common arms. After 65 years it is time to end this anachronism that was deceitfully enacted and which remains an insult to common sense.”

Agreed, time to end this unconstitutional ban, especially since heller and bruen are the law of the land.

Listen. Crime dramas from the 1950's featuring teenage gangs is no basis for a policy on weapons taxation. Sensible legislative policy derives from the non-infringement standard, not from some farcical cinematic event.

I saw that on Langley Outdoors Academy. What. The. Actual. Fuck.

Is Biden going to bite his tongue about Bruen in order to keep his son out of prison?
Gun control is like trying to solve drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars.

And yet, the 2nd and 7th circuit courts have STILL been screwing it up.

Say this thing goes to trial, the lawyers are gonna argue and cite heller and bruen and attack the unconstitutionality of the 68gca along with the unconstitutionality of the 4473.
If they pull one of those laws for thee but not for me type of thing, then that opens the door up to challenges by those who got fucked, IMO.
I myself would like to see the end of the gca, the 4473 and the whole bullshit background check system, gut the whole fucking thing.
So in a way, this could be a win-win type of thing.

Don't really know how this will turn out considering the USSC has ruled numerous times that police officers have no duty to protect.
Perhaps guilty of some sort of perjury charge?

Also.
Permitless concealed carry has cleared the senate committee and being sent to the full senate for a vote.
What doesn't make sense, is that the bill was changed from 18 to 21 yr olds to conceal carry, however 18 to open carry. Makes no damn logical sense.

No duty to protect barring any implicit obligation such as posting an officer to protect the school and those within it.

Good but you and others don't like it. Tell me if the second amendment is absolute why is no other? Why don't I have the right the to send threatening letters to elected officials and not get arrested?

I was thinking about this argument earlier. Do you mean to suggest that there are circumstances where the 13th amendment's actual bars on slavery can be lessened? Not just as part of punishment for a crime. If no amendment is absolute, can the state engage in or permit chattel slavery of non criminals where, say, strict scrutiny is met?

The Georgia Supreme Court has issued an opinion rejecting a lawsuit brought by Professors seeking to ban firearms on campus at the University of Georgia
So basically 5 dipshit professors with lots of sand in their vagina tried to argue that the Ga. legislature lacked the authority to allow firearms on campus, Ga. supreme court told em to fuck off.

Numbers are coming out from the batfe(arbf) for those who took advantage of the "free" tax stamp for the pistol brace "short barreled rifle" at 250K.
batfe(arbf) put the numbers of those devices at around 3mil to about 7mil, congressional research service put it upwards from 30mil to 40mil, so it looks pretty much like widespread noncompliance. So if one goes by the high rate of 40mil, that's a 0.625% compliance rate.
Fuck the batfe(arbf)

Heh. Well the day ain't done so maybe they might get to a few hundred.
But honestly, did that dumb cunt actually think that 10s of thousands were gonna show up? Did she actually think the guvna would have signed their moronic kindergarten level EO and didn't think such a proposal didn't infringe upon not only the state's right to keep and bear arms but the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights?

This bitch ain't got just a screw loose, she's a whole hardware store of loose screws worth.

My opinion on guns

Anybody should be able to own anything but they need a license to do so for automatic weapons.

Ex: Handgun doesn’t require a license, but a AR does.

Hell, IDGAF if somebody owns GAU-8 avenger as long as they use it responsibly and know the proper precautions and don’t go on a killing spree with it and only use it for a really impractical and epic form of self defense.

Yes I know the AR15 isn’t automatic. It’s the civilian model of the m16 burst rifle but with the burst removed for civilian use.

So...No license needed for an AR-15 under your proposal.
