And the polls are only 10 days away.

It's a shame that the right has had such a surge in the final few weeks of the campaign, though in all honesty im not too surprised. They already control the President, both autonomous regions (Azores and Madeira) and the mayoralty of Lisbon. The only really important position left is the Prime Minister. Im not entirely sure why the left's support has quite frankly collapsed recently (im not very in tune to Portuguese politics), but I hope that the Socialists can hang on to the government and the Left Bloc and Communists don't shoot themselves in the foot by not supporting them again.

If you're under fire in the no-man's land of WW1, you start digging a foxhole even if the ideal time would be when you *aren't* being bombarded, because once you wait for it to be 'time', other situations will need your attention, assuming you survive that long. If the fields aren't furrowed, plow them. If the iron is not hot, make it so. If society is not ready, change it.

At a speech in Oviero, Costa says he's proud to be Chega's #1 enemy
Also at Oviero, Housing Minister Pedro Santos(a potential successor to the PS leadership) directs his attacks at the right, leaving out BE and PCP-PEV as a conciliatory gesture
Porto Mayor Rui Moriera endorses CDS-PP
Rio asks Costa to lose with dignity
Rio's now officially isolating Chega from any right wing coalition, saying that PSD would work with PAN first
Finally, polling is already going on for 13,000 nursing home residents nationwide
