Obviously, it depends on the situation. If I'm in my grandparents' house during Islamic holy day where all the families gather, objectively not. On the other hand, swearing is basically encouraged if I'm hanging out and bonding with my close friends. Funnily enough, my family also allows swearing at home, as long as it's in English.

A thing to point out is that swearing has largely lost its taboo meaning, and morphed into everyday reaction-induced words along the lines of "ouch" and "ow". These days, racial slurs and mental health terms are much more insulting and unacceptable.

Yeah it goes both ways, swears lose their power while once acceptable terms become slurs. Not only was retarded once a medical term, idiot, imbecile, and moron were all once medical terms as well. Makes you wonder what the future holds. I'm thinking maybe OCD becomes a slur. As someone who has literal OCD, I find it annoying that people misuse it, not really offensive, just annoying, but maybe in thirty years saying "he's OCD" will be like saying "he's retarded" now.

I'm also betting that Indian makes a comeback (referring to the indigenous people of America, not to India Indians which is currently fine), because most Indians actually prefer Indian over native American much like most black people prefer black over African American.

I'm still trying to feel out BIPOC, if it's a term that black and indigenous people are actually using or if it's mostly a white liberal thing, I honestly can't tell. Latinx is definitely dead though, pretty much 99.999999% of people who have ever used Latinx are white.
