In terms of quality of life? No. Towns are vastly preferable.

So the whole situation was declared a federal emergency on Sunday and relief is already being organised, but sure the federal government is doing nothing about this.
Damn I'm sure that declaration and her promises mean a whole lot to the 12 million people who literally have no water lol. The fact that the military didn't deploy en masse for immediate relief on day one is fucking shameful.

Space is probably the one thing we're not lacking on.
There's also a lot of problem with urban living. Iirc urban dwellers are more likely to suffere mental illnesses and have higher stress levels and such things.

Well it doesn’t help that Texas’s government is blocking literally every relief effort put forward by the feds. Also Texas only activated 300 national guard troops. Several thousands where activated for the protests last summer. The state and government and state GOP literally do not give a fuck about their citizens

why would they be blocking relief effort? What is the point of that? Are they trying to get people not to reelect them or do they think people have short memories?

If it were a more widespread event or trend, this perhaps warrants its own discussion thread about it on here.

Accepting help from the democrat Biden ? After repeatedly shouting you do not need the other states ? After repeatedly mocking other states for needing help ? That looks bad.
Besides, they will simply tell their base no help was offered. Just like they are telling their base it is all the fault of the green deal, regardless of how poorly the coal/gas/nuclear plants are doing now and windmills can perform fine in arctic temperatures if you bother to weatherproof them.

I want to thank the Tennessee legislature for their consideration of a bill to erect a statue of me on the Capitol grounds. I am honored and humbled by their intention but I have asked the leaders of the state legislature to remove the bill from any and all consideration.
Given all that is going on in the world, I don't think putting me on a pedestal is appropriate at this time. I hope, though, that somewhere down the road several years from now or perhaps after I'm gone if you still feel I deserve it, then I'm certain I will stand proud in our great State Capitol as a grateful Tennessean.
In the meantime, I'll continue to try to do good work to make this great state proud.

I dont think people are going to forget this. Its beyond inexcusable and their independent power grid is a major factor. This is a key reason in why other states saw nothing close to what is gong in Texas.

I think you underestimate just how republican republicans are. They will not even be upset that mister Cruz is now on holiday.
