Oh really? The police answer to the president? Since when?

Did the governor of Kentucky order Davis's arrest an they simply chose to listen?

The state police answer to the Governor, the national police answer to the President. No police department answers to the Supreme Court.

Since, y’know, the powers of the president were codified in the Constitution. The President is the executive, his job is to enforce law. His powers are literally called policing powers for a reason. Whenever police act in a capacity that enforces Federal Law, they answer to the president, regardless of how long and tangled that chain of authority might be in practice.

and if a judge says your law or mandate is unconstitutional buzz off? I don't think the President would be very popular if they chose to defy the Supreme Court on such a high profile ruling if the Texas ruling reaches it. I dont think many in Congress would be pleased either even many Democrats.

There is a much more recent example of judges ignoring laws, namely when it came to SSM.

You mean Roy Moore? He got suspended from the Alabama Supreme Court for that stunt.

Yeah and the people can use force to prevent that. There are more guns in Texas than police officers.

And yes just what we need a full on rebellion against the police. That;'s going to go over great and not lead to death and further unrest.

So much for peace with Iran. In the fields the bodies burning, as the war machine keeps turning.
