Except he's not. He couldn't even get that many good punches in on Biden at the debate, so I can't imagine if he faced the literal embodiment of the Chad meme onstage. Trump did well in 2016 cause people enjoyed seeing the Bush family and Clintons get burned. In 2020, Trump stands onstage as a sad circus clown that most Americans don't love nor respect.

Biden being a less easy target, I don't see someone who'd basically be Trump lite being a more successful option.

Trump's rally in Muskegon was as racist and authoritarian as one could expect. He didn't even hold back and fear mongered about Syrian refugees, "low income housing," Somalians and Gretchen Whitmer.

But he’s not a racist they say

The guy was losing his cool with Savanah guthery for calling him someones crazy uncle. I think it would be beautiful if Trump had to debate someone who just spent the entire night making a mockery of his whole existence in front of millions

I think it's better to just let him self-destruct on his own.

Among Republican operatives, there has been an expectation that Trump’s polling deficit with Biden would close as the election neared. That tightening has not happened as quickly as they’d hoped, and among the explanations for it are the president’s combustible debate performance, his personal infection with a virus he has downplayed, and the fact that he’s been outspent on the airwaves.
There’s also a growing consensus among the GOP consulting class that Trump has lost some of the political instincts that made him both unorthodox and effective in 2016. Back then, Trump closed the campaign by largely keeping to script, doing rallies, and posting only mundane tweets. This go-around, he’s embraced wilder conspiracies—such as the Osama bin Laden raid being staged—and put up more Facebook ads attacking Hillary Clinton than going after Biden on trade.
It seems the Trump Campaign is struggling to adapt a 2020 strategy and is instead mimicking their 2016 one, partly due to Trump going off script and attacking his opponents he perceives should be "locked up". Yeah, this ship is sinking and racing to the port in hopes of a miracle revival. That is probably not going to happen this time.

If he loses what kind of retribution would he be able to dish out? All focus will be on the transition.

No need for a rebellion.
Trump thinks like a very shitty mob boss, remember?
A drive-by shooting, a bomb at a house…
He won’t incite rebellion. Just violence.

He's also reusing nicknames. How many "Liddle" [Name] is he up to now?
