If aliens landed in 2021 I'd panic, stock up on guns, ammo, food, and other resources, and go live in the wilderness and hope not to get the inevitable alien bacterial plague that will contaminate the Earth as a result of foreign life forms spreading the microbes on their skin to us.

Is there any reason to assume those microbes could ? It is even very unlikely that the aliens could eat us, to use another scifi trope.

I would happy if they are willing to talk to us and share their joy for the most dumbest of things with us. I like to think that they enjoy the same kind of entertainment as us, and have the same memes as us.

I only hope that they are not as crazy as the Covenant from Halo, or bleeds acid blood like the Xenomorphs.

Of course, if we are talking nice aliens, we could also wish for the Quozl: big eyed furries that are very good at sex.
