At this point, the VP pick isn't very a big deal-breaker for me. You can always primary them in 2024 if possible.

I meant in 2024 if Biden wins and the VP runs for president in 2024. People unhappy with the pick, assuming they will run to replace Biden, can always primary the candidate.

I think a contested primary in 2024 is a good thing but whomever Biden's veep is will ultimately wind up being the nominee.

It's going to be Harris.

I mean, roast me if I'm wrong come tomorrow, but everything to me indicates that Harris is a super likely pick. I'd wager 75% chance it's her, 20% for Rice, 5% for the others.

The final statement of my opinion (good) which may be different from your opinion (bad):

Harris, Rice: garbo
Bass, Warren: good
Duckworth, Whitmer, Demings, Bottoms: ok

I'd wager Rice is even lower than that, I see her much more at State than in the White House. I think alot of this VP talk was really to float her name back into public discussion to see what the response was. In any case, picking her would be a mistake.

Harris is the run away favourite in my opinion, followed by Whitmer distantly behind. Bass was torpedoed by Cuba.

Demings and Duckworth are the sleeper candidates which I could totally see as the VP but who I really dont think will get it.

This is all moot though until we find out, and with how 2020 is going, Biden might just surprise us.

While I'm not a slobbering fan of my governor, I have a major problem with no good fucks like Maxine Water threatening to abandon trump if he picks her just because she's white.

If you vote based on skin color alone, you deserve the horror of another 4 years of Trump. As far as im concerned, if Whitmer is his best option, he should pick her, and either people will vote for him and vote Trump out, or Maxine Waters and her campaign of hate will convince them to stay home only for them to hypocritically bitch on election night when one of the dumbest presidents in American history gets awarded a second term, and they get what they deserve.

What a dumb fucking thing to make him "pay for" in THIS election year of all years.

Joe Biden should pick Ayaan Hirsi Ali as his running mate if only she was a natural-born citizen.

But she isn't, so Joe should pick Nikki Haley instead. If elected, he should retain Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State. Both of them are known for their hawkish foreign policy views, the former with respect to the Middle East in particular and the latter with respect to China in particular, but both candidates would steer America in the right foreign policy direction. A Republican running mate will serve to maintain a delicate balance of power between radical leftists and radical rightists similar to other power-sharing arrangements in Israel and Northern Ireland. Their pro-life views may be a slight problem on the domestic front, but so are some of the questionable views of some of the ultra-woke, feminist extremists within the Democratic fold. The Democrats should have elected a younger but still moderate candidate to keep both radical factions in check.

Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren both leave a bad taste in my mouth. Hillary Clinton is just far too toxic for Biden's chances. Tulsi Gabbard's support for the former Bolivian socialist, wannabe-dictator Evo Morales and her failure to vote for a number of Hong Kong-related bills in Congress proves that she cannot be trusted with foreign policy. Samantha Power and Susan Rice seem alright to me. Condoleeza Rice is another good candidate even though she's Republican.

I can't think of any other ideal, female VP picks at the moment as I'm not too familiar with all of the faces.

To answer the poll question, I don't prefer any U.S. political party because I think they all suck. Maybe the Libertarians suck the least out of all the terrible options.

To update my views on the upcoming election, I'm not currently rooting for either Trump or Biden. If Trump loses because of the pandemic, then he only has himself to blame for his poor handling of the pandemic and the almost-unprecedented economic fallout that he has exacerbated. If Biden loses, then the Democrats are to blame for their poor performance due to excessive wokeness despite Trump's low ratings at the moment. That said, I'm betting on a Biden win. 90% of the time, "it's the economy, stupid" rings true. Trump's desire to reopen the economy prematurely has led to even greater economic hardship for millions of Americans, ironically enough. This will likely prove to be his undoing.

My biggest concern as a foreigner is how the Oval Office will contain and counter that irredeemably evil, racist, fascist, imperialist, Communist superpower and regional bully in the Far East over the next four years, which it must do at all costs. U.S. domestic issues can take a back seat, although a strong U.S. economy benefits the whole world at large and an excessively woke administration and culture is bad for the whole world, particularly other Western cultural adjuncts such as Europe, Canada, and Australia as well as online where many of the world's major tech, digital utility, and social media companies are based in the United States and social and political censorship and cancel culture are growing concerns. Islamophilic wokeness is also bad for Israel and bad for non-Muslim minorities in the Muslim world such as myself who have been betrayed accordingly by the wokerati because our very existence contradicts their pro-Muslim, antisemitic, anti-white, anti-Christian, oppression-Olympics narrative and reduces us all to Uncle Toms and porch monkeys. Will Biden be able to keep this insane wokeness in check if he is elected president?

But again, taking down the CCP by waging an all-out cold war against China should be Washington's top priority at the moment. I'm very likely to support whoever the more anti-CCP candidate is. While the Trump administration has done more than any other to hold the CCP accountable for its crimes, Trump personally is a bit of a wild card and a risky gamble should he win re-election and there's no telling if he will renege on all of his election promises the moment he wins and sign off on a lucrative trade deal with President Xi.

Biden is still an unproven and untested quantity and it's still too early to say exactly what his approach toward China would entail. It's possible I may not endorse him until after he takes office on Jan. 20 and his words and promises begin to translate into meaningful, concrete action. Whoever wins, formally recognizing Taiwan and continuing to stand with the people of Hong Kong and undermine the CCP in China and around the world are surefire ways to win me over.

I will fucking hate everything if Harris is chosen, in this year of all things, after a presumed heavy vetting process. What horrible optics in 2020 of all years to choose someone who has a terrible prosecutor history. Like how can his supposed thorough vetting process go through ALL of that and go "Yeah, that's good optics in 2020"? I could legitimately see his polling numbers drop instead of go up if he chooses Harris, and instead of feeling okay and accepting a vote for Biden, I would instantly go back to being meh on voting for Biden. Terrible pick to get back the rust belt and everything as well, choosing a senator from a state that Biden will obviously win in a landslide.

I mean, roast me if I'm wrong come tomorrow, but everything to me indicates that Harris is a super likely pick. I'd wager 75% chance it's her, 20% for Rice, 5% for the others.

It’s never the one you think it is. Just because Harris has been in the news a lot and the media has been pushing for her doesn’t mean she’s going to get it.

Trump 37%

#NCsen:
Cunningham (D) 48% (+16)
Tillis (R-inc) 32%

I’d recommend discounting them as an outlier. They seem to have a heavy democrat lean and 538 has zero information on them

Actually FTE puts them in the mix for their NC meta-poll. FTE weights them 10 points towards Trump!

FTE has NC at 2.1 Biden, while RCP has 2.0

Nor does it mean it would be a good pick, especially considering the many more qualified people available.

Her being a progressive pick is horrible if it means we get a morally dubious backroom backstabber to represent women and people of color in the White House... Or really anywhere.
