If I were in power, I'd be doing my best to encourage people to develop self-reliant communities, put measures in place to cooperativize the economy, and maybe abolish the legislative state if the first two seem to work. The points I am trying to make are to try and make the shitty neolib party win over the even more shitty neoconservative party more often than it does.

Tried that, did more harm. So we found other ways to reduce the harm that alcohol causes by instead focusing on the specific activities that harm others when alcohol is involved.

Direct action, labor organizing, recruiting for the wobblies, organizing strikes up to and including general strikes. You know shit I've been doing to the best of my ability for the past several years.

Drinking and driving laws are only useful after the fact, people still get harmed. Not to mention the other plethora of ways alcohol causes harm. Surely with your position of personal freedom being fine until it starts harming others it would be prudent to simply be against this personal freedom, no?

I feel like the sanctity of "seat belt laws" and "Drunk driving" laws are only questioned by high school kids and libertarians who never really grown out of that stage.

Pretty big consensus that they are good and have contributed to allot of harm reduction.
