The GOP saying that Biden is "hiding" is really fucking hilarious because it's so blatantly false that you can tell they're not even trying to win the election anymore, they're just shrieking and name-calling like children and hoping that will get them to 270

Not to mention, frankly, a 77 year old in the middle of a world wide pandemic cant really be blamed for hiding if he even was.

McConnell and pals seem to have conceded that the Presidency is unwinnable. They got their judges, they got their legislation rammed through, now they just want to salvage the Senate.

For real. I'm a healthy 20-something, and if I had the option of going out and meeting crowds rn and attending rallies, I'd definitely opt not to.

Well, of all the remaining races some more can be called including the last of the important ones:

GOP AZ-2(Tuscon-Sierra Vista): Brandon Martin
Dem AZ-5(Gilbert-Chandler): Joan Greene
Dem MI-6(Kalamazoo): Jon Hoadley(I was wrong about this one)
GOP MI-10(Port Huron-Macomb Township): Lisa McClain(I was wrong here too, all she had to her name until last week was millions of her personal money as a finance executive, and I didn't think that would be enough)
GOP MI-11(Lansing-Rochester Hills): Eric Esshaki(Third one wrong, Esshaki's a lawyer and former nurse)
GOP MI-13(Detroit-Westland): David Dudenhofer
Dem MI-13(Detroit-Westland): Rashida Tlaib

As for the remaining Washington races...nothing really major there at this point.

Turns out Karen Bass might be a communist. With this new revelation, I have decided to move Rep. Bass above Sen. Warren in my desired VP list, and will commit to actively campaigning for the Biden–Bass ticket in any way that would be helpful should she become the nominee.

Unfortunately that's likely to torpedo her chances of actually being picked.

He wont take the bait; have you noticed how, while admittedly moving leftward in regard to a handful of policies, Biden has avoided go so far as to embody the Sanders/AOC rhetoric that the GOP finds so horrifying.

For example, Biden, while having a fairly decent criminal justice reform package, is against defunding the police.

Trump can whine and bash Biden for being a far left zealot as much as he likes, but the fact of the matter is that it wont work. Joe Biden is a septuagenarian from a southern state, a chronic moderate who, until his current 2020 run, was widely liked on both sides of the aisle. He is an old, white, southern, old school politician. Just that mere fact will make him appear more centrist than he really is at the moment.

Uhh Biden is from Pennsylvania, not the South no one considers it a southern state.

Whatever universe the United States Census Bureau lives in.

It is southern geographically, though, much like Maryland, is not often remembered as such.

I mean, Biden does venture out, he just doesn't campaign around the entire country. But I seriously doubt he goes that far-left. I will warn you though: I wouldn't underestimate Biden. He excels at one-on-one debates.

Cannot think of a name wrote:The way 2020 is going things could change by sunset. But it’s interesting that in such a volatile year the polling has been so consistent when normally there’s so much more give and take with every little thing getting its own little bump.

Trump is a well-defined figure: almost everyone has an opinion of him; as does Biden to a lesser extent. This leaves fewer undecided/third party voters, especially in an election that matters this year. We also need to take into account that polling has adjusted and thus is more accurate than 2016. Biden's stable lead, which averages 8 points, should be concerning for the Trump Campaign: they do better with volatility.

I wasn’t comparing it to 2016, but elections in general. Even in other elections that involve incumbents and established figures there is more give and take during the election cycle. I don’t think it’s that we know these two as much as Trump has hardened the lines. He has forced a situation where there really is no fence to sit on. You’re either down with the disturbing shit or you’re not.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Try this one.

The US Census Bureau considers Delaware to be a southern state.

It may not be "southern" in the cultural or political sense, but it is, geographically, southern.

According to?

I dont think individuals get to decide these things.

You could certainly say that it's not part of the "Deep South" since that usually refers to those states south of the Carolinas, or if you prefer, you could argue that the true south is only those states that make up the Confederacy, which leaves out Delware and Maryland.

Curiously, if one considers Maryland to be a Southern state, then it's hard to discount Delware as one too. Both are in the same geographic area, both were slave states that voted to remain in the Union.
