That 90% of the country is a remarkably loose 90%. It's dominated by numerous competing militias backed by both Iran and Russia who both fight among themselves and the Regime's forces. Easiest comparison I can think of is 1930s and 1940s China. This is excluding the absurd amounts of territory that is the literal wild west right now.

Most of Syria actually has fairly stable law enforcement, although it is run by local militias rather than the central government in Damascus

Did Biden say "it is what it is" when told that covid killed 156,000 Americans?
The devil is out there. Hiding behind every corner and in every nook and cranny. In all of the dives, all over the city. Before you lays an entire world of enemies, and at day's end when the chips are down, we're a society of strangers. You cant walk by someone on the street anymore without crossing the road to get away from their stare. Welcome to the Twilight Zone. The land of plague and shadow. Nothing innocent survives this world. If it can't corrupt you, it'll kill you.

How about putting together an actual argument instead of the automatic reversals you always pull

I've said this before, I strongly suspect GMS is a parody account or some kind of bot. I can't prove any of that but that's what I think.

You wouldn't need to have any corporations if you did a communism.

I don't think full communism will work. Some socialist policies will, but not full on communism. Communists have almost always been deplorable in governing.

Quite. From "It is what it is" to "It's under control as much as you can control it" to "Oh, just read the manuals. Read the books" to "You test, some kid has even just a little runny nose, it’s a case. And then you report many cases". He floundered basically.

This interview, which I haven't watched fully, is honestly mind boggling. All you have to do is ask Who? What? How? No. Boom! He struggles bigly. Now, Biden should step up and take on some of these hard hitting interviews, even at the risk of gaffes: he can't hide fully forever. That said, Trump inflicting damage on himself is what Biden's strategy is right now so...

I think that problems in the fact that different skillsets are required to lead a revolution and govern a country. Mao, for instance, was an excellent guerrilla leading, having literally written the book on guerrilla warfare. This skillset allowed him to cast out the nationalists and establish the People's Republic, but it did not help actually govern it, as demonstrated by his track record. Mind you, there is a similar disconnect in democratic states, where a leader is chosen based on their ability to get elected rather than their ability to lead. In theory, there should be overlap between the two, but practice has shown that this isn't necessarily the case *cough*Trump*cough*.

tbh the fact that she's supported castro and cpusa guy has pushed her to the top of my preferred vp shortlist. if biden picks her and she stops distancing herself from the pro-castro comments, that might be enough for me to hold my nose and vote for biden in the hopes that maybe he'll kick the bucket and she'll become president.

I was always a bit sceptical of him picking a relative unknown from liberal California, but now I highly doubt she will be the choice.

Again, my gut is saying Harris even if my brain says it would be a bad choice.

I mean on one hand his interviews are painful to watch. But on the other the more he does them the more likely more will be turned off from voting for him.

Biden plans to undo all of Trump's anti Cuban regime policies, if he becomes President, he plans to follow Obama's policies on Cuba. You can vote for Joe Biden without holding your nose, since he supports pro Cuban regime policies you support. For this and many other republican reasons I support President Trump and hope Biden does not win.

the reason i dont support biden has little to nothing to do with cuba, so whether he supports it or not would not greatly affect my reluctance to vote for him - my serious problems with biden are, in order from most to least important:
- he has sexually assaulted women
- he has explicitly stated that he will veto a universal healthcare bill
- he may have dementia
- he does not express any interest in establishing socialism in the united states
- he is yet another old white man in a long chain of old white men
