On fries, certainly. On bread ? Not so much. But the composition and texture is quite different from the hellmans stuff.
Also flavours vary from country to country - the Belgian stuff is quite sour, the Dutch relatively sweet.

Of course, if you truly want to talk controversial foodstuffs, we can talk about tea and how that should never go near a microwave OR milk.

I think you guys are bigger on mustards overall right? =)

American mayonnaise

Ingredients: :
Vegetable oil soybean and canola, water, distilled vinegar, egg yolk, high fructose corn syrup, contains less than 2 percent of salt, spice mustard seed, calcium disodium EDTA to protect flavor.

Dutch mayonnaise
ingredients
∙ Serves 1 1/4
Condiments
1 tbsp
Lemon juice
1 tsp
Mustard (yellow or dijon)
Baking & Spices
1 Pinch
Salt
Oils & Vinegars
1 cup
Sunflower oil
1 tbsp
White wine vinegar
Other
1
Egg (organic or pasteurized)

It seems I was mistaken. Most ppl make mayo with sunflower oil, well if we make it, we use olive oil..

Belgian

INGREDIENTS
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper
1 tablespoon cold water
400 ml salad oil

I like to cook and make things from scratch.
That said, recipes are easily found on the internet.
But thank you.

We have 11 full sized cooking books, and 10 mini recipes booklets.
In our "ancient" Amsterdam cook book there are recipes for all kinds of condiments..

Thepeopl, your political compass is broken.

it’s political compass, not URL

On the subject of mayonnaise, I don’t like it. Maybe out of every sandwich with mayonnaise on it, I’ve liked one, but not because of the mayonnaise.

And I’ve never heard of American mayonnaise...is ours just a lot worse?

I'm not sure about the differences between our mayonnaise and yours, but it is probably my favorite condiment. Practically every time I use it is for sandwiches. Trying versions of it created elsewhere in the world like in European countries or Japan would be interesting.

I personally love Japanese Mayonaise the best. It's sweet and amazing on takoyaki and other Japanese foods.

Have to second this. Sometimes the normal/American mayonnaise can be too bland or sour for my liking.

Speaking of mayo and Subway, I almost always order a meatball sandwich with mayo on it when getting food there.

Fortunately for my health, I very rarely go to Subway at all, even before the virus reached the US.

I do turkey on honey oats, toasted with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, and cheddar cheese. For condiments I pick olive oil and ranch with salt and pepper

And I like to combo with soda and chips :)

My meal when I ate there was usually toasted honey oat tuna melt with pepper jack, spinach, onions, pickles, olives, lettuce, spicy mustard, light mayonnaise, vinaigrette, sweet onion, Caesar, and salt and pepper. Don't mind how soaked that sounds—
