I'm not really happy with the presentation, but last night's dinner was delicious. I found a recipe for pheasant wrapped in prosciutto and thought to myself "how do I veganize it"? So I took soy-meat fillets, wrapped them in marinaded eggplant, fried them and put them in the oven and made orange sauce with the remaining oil.

I'm not vegan myself, I just really like trying to veganize food. I've got a lot of vegan friends and my favorite way to hang out with people is cooking for them.

I am not a fan of soy-meat -- I had a taste of "impossible sausage" for Dunkin Donut's sausage biscuit, and have tried others over the years. But that DOES look good, and I'd probably try it.

I love the gamey flavour. And yes, I have eaten boar, deer, crocodile, ostrich, snake, kangaroo, rabbit, pheasant, crab, lobster, beef, pork, seafood, seaweed, shrimp, shellfish, poultry and duck.

Bear, Elk, Boar, Alligator, Ostrich, Rabbit, Pheasant, Crab, Lobster, Beef, Bison, Pork, Clams, Mussels, Scallops, conch, Shrimps, swordfish, monkfish, branzino, tilapia, grouper, frog legs, goose, chicken, duck, turkey, lamb, goat, eel, salmon, trout, escargot that I can think off off the top of my head.

If you are going gamey, yet beefy i want to recommend Reindeer, just the right gamey flavor with beef and fat.

Looks good, too. The thing that fascinates me about vegan cuisine is how there always seem to be alternatives for animal products, which is a rather impressive accomplishment.

I find vegetarian dishes which use non-meats in interesting ways to be worthy of paying attention to.
I find vegetarian dishes which attempt to use non-meats as meats(soy meat, for example) to be generally cringey.

I haven't eaten a non-aquatic species in a long time.

Faux meats are ok once in a while when I'm nostalgic for a burger or a dog and want something that gets 40-80% of the way there. The fake breaded chicken and soyrizo probably come closest.

And I much prefer raw red onions on my burgers, with gorgonzola cheese, lettuce, ketchup, and sliced pickles.

Red onions are the best. they are better than any onion. If you choose to have yellow onions, I recommend to caramelize them. They add a delicious flavor.

For religious meals, I like to have fried onions with liver. They taste very good, and can quench your hunger!
