You could probably find an SKS for cheap somewhere for about 300-400 USD. Ammo is cheap and the gun is easy to look after. Normally I'd be against the Chinese versions because low quality but in times like this go for it. Yugo ones are really good quality same with Soviets

I'm in the UK so I can't legally get a gun, but if I could I'd probably go for a revolver as I don't trust myself to maintain a pistol properly, and a medium sized calibre; large enough to have some stopping power but not stupidly large so you have 5 rounds of pure recoil.

I often suspect people who say to never fight violence with violence were never the subjects of intense school bullying. No teacher, no pleading, no discussing, no questioning, no yelling, and no punishment ever changed their mind except for my hurting them back and then making it clear I wasn't going to take it from anyone else.

Violence for violence is not always the answer, no. But sometimes it does a damn sight more to help than anything else.

Perhaps someone should have told the pigs who opened fire on peaceful protestors with rubber bullets that. Or the pigs who keep on murdering black people because they can get away with it most of the time. Or the pigs shooting people watching out their windows with CS rounds, or the pigs driving cars through protestors or shooting people at point blank range with beanball rounds or shooting teenaged girls in the face with rubber bullets.

The violence here is being committed and provoked almost entirely by pigs with guns and badges.

Honestly, the next thing we need isn't riots, it's to bring the nation to its knees if we don't get accountability. The next step is a general strike. It doesn't need to be constant just yet, but people refusing to go to work en masse will show that business is meant.
