Maple glazed sourdough donut with bacon bits on top. Call me a heretic if necessary, but it's a) suprisingly good, b) not to sweet if made correctly, and c) it's a perfect adition to any meal if you want to either gross someone out, or suprise them. And did I mention it's quite good?

Can't beat an old-fashioned jam doughnut. Mm, tastes like my childhood.

Minus the salt taste from the blood and tears, obviously.

I don't know either of those two names.

No, I mean something less sweet. A nice bagel with cream cheese, hmmmmm.

Oooh, I love a bagel with strawberry cream cheese.

Now I reserve myself to just eating two whenever I go out to get donuts.

Krispy Kreme hot out of the oven are the best for this.

I happen to like Boston Creme, Apple Spice donuts, and old fashioned chocolate glazed as well.

Oh my god, and in the fall: apple cider donuts. TRUST ME ON THIS.

Oh. My. God. Apple cider donuts are so fucking good. They're not glazed over, they don't have icing, but somehow the local orchard where my family picks apples does it so well. They're delicious.

Most donuts I've tried are too sweet, I don't like them.

Toasted everything with cream cheese, lox and onion is heavenly.

1. Boston cream.
2. Sour cream glazed
3. Maple.

Having grown up on Tim Hortons, and only Tim Hortons, doughnuts, I have a hard time breaking out of this list.

I quite like the Boule de Berlin (or berliner) with vanilla custard, though I rarely have one. With or without chocolate glaze.

Guess in America they started calling it Boston Cream donut. Guess I learnt something today.

If I had to pick, I'd go for the pink ones with the frostings that taste like strawberries

is there an official name for that type of donut?

...

Also, can a cinnamon stick/snack in some cases be considered a doughnut?

...

Also, is it doughnut or donut?

This reminds me of college when I would frequent Tim Hortons a lot.

I ordered a few donuts and always with a hot cappuccino. They made the sweetest coffee and it mixed well.

I'm pretty sure it's yet another one of those Traditional and Simplified British English and American English differences. I do alternate between both, usually I use donut, mainly for convenience.
