Have you read any of the short stories? They're very different than the show, but enjoyable none the less.

I never really considered it but now that you mention it...

You could incorporate a raven's call too. Providing you could find a raven and get it near the mike without getting pecked. Oh and ... you know it might be easier to use a recording and a sampler.

You can always get a crow. They're basically the same to me, and maybe easier to handle.

You think so? I shared it with a bunch of friends of mine. One of the best recordings one done by Christopher Lee. You can find it on youtube

Well that and getting pecked. Look at the beak on a raven ... go with a recording. Maybe do the whole think in raven-voice that would be creepy.

In a good way of course.

It definitely would be creepy. Check out the Christopher Lee recording. You won’t regret it.

Believe it or not ravens like parrots can speak. There is debate in the scientific community though if they truly understand what they are saying or just mimicking what they hear.

President Lincoln knew the poem by heart. Not my absolute favorite, I must admit. I'm fonder of Horace and Ovid and AE Housman and Leigh Hunt and the Brownings and some others.

My 100% unscientific opinion is that they do understand, just because they seem intelligent to me.

It’s plausible that they are and do understand. There simply isn’t enough evidence either way to say definitively

I, for one, fully support the creation of a San Lumen version of the Raven (with bonus actual raven!). Huzzah! :)

We'll have to figure that out eventually.

Maybe I will at some point. I have the recording saved in my phone.

So... on the NS side, I did some writings of my own and they turned out great! ^^

That sounds really cool.

Today, I'm listening to music. Currently playing one of the happiest tunes I know on my MP3 player: Pushing Daisies' version of "Birdhouse in your Soul" sung by Kristin Chenoweth and Ellen Greene (the original There Might Be Giants version is... somewhat less cheery).

This article is less "happy", & more surprising [in a good way] - especially this bit:

And finally, in 2020, Bob celebrates his 112 birthday.

He has lived through the reigns of five British monarchs, 22 UK prime ministers - serving a total of 27 terms - and 21 presidents of the USA.

He was alive during all three London Olympics, and both world wars, and has weathered the Spanish flu, cholera and smallpox.

Lincoln was quite the reader and fan of the theatre, he loved Shakespeare.

I am taking part in what I think may be one of the worst ideas my friend Tyler has ever had, and that includes the time we almost got shot while ding dong ditching.

He wants to make a youtube channel and call it "Squad Adventures," and he wants to make basically an anime about being at a highschool in the hood. He already has an animator (my man Jayson, you can find him on instagram at Jaysinner and the sinboy, go check him out) but knowing Tyler's sense of humor, this is gonna make me wanna die.

I'm not saying other people dont find him funny. I'm saying that many times I think the stuff he says is cringe.

This is gonna be pretty bad.

As for the good news, the sun is shining in Detroit today.

I think NASA should listen to the planetary astronomers and launch a deep probe of Uranus, to make a detailed study of its interior.* Because Science! I'd like people to get over the childish humor. But since that's not gonna happen, we'll at least get to watch newscasters squirm when they try to tell millions of people that NASA will explore Uranus. :P

*: There are serious proposals for this, but they're difficult and expensive, because Uranus doesn't want to be deeply probed. It takes it personally.
