Tfw you step outside and get shot by a police officer for looking him in the eye, but hes allowed to do that because Bloomberg said it's alright.

The infamous Max Boot declares a Bernie nomination means Trump for sure.

This means in reality an absolutely Bernie blow out victory because Max Boot is wrong on everything and possibly the dumbest man in DC.

They aren't really worried about bernie losing. Considering what chris Matthew's told people (vote for trump over bernie), they're afraid of him winning the most

It helped the Tea Party take over the GOP before they bowed to Trump.

It's worth keeping in mind a lot of young people already see ourselves as living in the ruins. Family structures have been totally destroyed, the economy seems rigged as the rich get richer and jobs keep going overseas to slave laborers leaving people with hardly any long term career opportunities here, higher education isn't even a guarantee to enter a profession and more likely than not you'll just rack on tons of debt, our rights were continually and still are being eroded away, the environment has been shit on for decades, healthcare is a byzantine mess that's simply unobtainable for a lot of people etc etc. So yeah people are trying to wreck things, and it's not without reason.

If they have nothing worth conserving, they'll tear your system down.

Right wing Democrats are now openly anti-literacy apparently? What a time to be alive.

I'm going to wait to call it until after Super Tuesday, on the off chance that a debate and Bloomberg's billions might throw a monkey wrench in Bernie's plans for a nationwide sweep, but I pretty much agree with you.

I'll be voting for Sanders, on the theory that he'll almost certainly be as utterly unable to get anything through Congress as Trump has been, and that he lacks Trump's grandiose wish to become America's first homegrown king. Trump is an extinction-level threat to the Republic, and that IMNSHO needs to be dealt with above all else.

Still, I'm not happy with the changes that will result from a Sanders victory. It's going to be a long and lonely road going forward as a centrist, forced to choose between right-wing lunatics and left-wing lunatics in every election. I predict that I'm going to be utterly fucking sick of "woke" politicians, immigrant haters, isolationists, anti-trade zealots, and people who want to tear down this, that, or some other aspect of the system because they're too damned stiff-necked to bend an inch and too damned stupid to imagine the possibilities inherent in reform as opposed to revolution.

Kids these days... I swear, all you whippersnappers know how to do is to wreck things. Serve you right if you find yourselves living among the ruins.

I think to call Bernie a left wing lunatic and equate it to the actual lunacy of the GOP is an extraordinarily unfair, untrue and intellectually dishonest criticism.

I understand why more centrist voters are concerned about his positions on trade, on taxation, and on several other economic issues where they may align themselves more towards the middle. But his policies err more towards a center-left, anti-austerity model of economics than something truly socialistic or "radically" left-wing. His policies on economics are arguably less left-wing than those of an FDR, for instance.

The pendulum in this country has swung so far to the right that even milquetoast, otherwise center-right politicians are accused of being "rabid socialists" by the GOP, and it's a massive mistake for Democrats to fall for that same patently false line of thinking when viewing otherwise center-left politicians such as Bernie Sanders.

In other words, I understand the grievances centrists have, I really do, but the vote between Trump and Bernie should effectively be a no-brainer.

If I were Bernie's campaign I'd grab the video of Obama praising Cuba's education system (aka the same thing Bernie did), and post it @ing Bloomberg, Buttigieg, and Biden.

Honestly, I don't know who will win SC but I would say Biden by a slim margin. Slim.

I'll wait until after the debate.

Yeah I usually agree with ASB and think they're a smart person but ima have to disagree here. Donald Trump has openly called for people to get their asses kicked, whereas sanders is at least not a violent ideologue. And he felt that way four years ago. OK it's not exactly "based" but it's consistent in recent times.

If Bloomberg can win it himself or get one of the other moderates up, I'm sure he'll continue to spend. But if it's Bernie, will he then?

It's quite likely to be Bernie so I take a risk of being proven wrong. But I think Bloomberg will continue to spend.

And that will cause all sorts of grief among the Bernie supporters. They don't want his money but they can't stop it.
