Back to running? Good. I know you used to like that.

I’m ok. Dreaming of summer.

Big plans this Summer or just looking forward to it in general?

Yeah, I've been trying to get back into running for years, failed every time. This time I'm trying a new strategy, instead of just "trying to get back into running" for a week or two before quitting, I'm hoping the pressure of a deadline looming on the horizon and a 5K to set my sights on pushes me to stick with it. If I manage to do that, there's another 5K two weeks later.

I've worn glasses since the 4th grade (2005) and while I'm sure there's a real reason, I still blame Caleb. Some kid in 2nd grade who let me try his glasses once and I couldn't see through them of course because I didn't need them then. I haven't seen him since 2004 but I blame him for my shitty vision.

Indeed, I hope so too. Really miss running and would love for it to be a part of my life again. Would also love to lose some weight, so that would be a nice bonus.

Definition of Butterfly Effect: Dammit, Caleb. Why you do me like that....

:P

My mom's somehow the only one that doesn't need glasses. And she has rather bad habits of using social network in the dark. I thought that was bad for the eyes, but nope, she has the sharpest eyes.

Today, I had the privilege of being one of the lucky few who could attend the Fire Fight Australia concert, and get to see all these lovely artists give up their time to raise money for charity.

It's heart-warming to see so many artists give up their time, for free, to perform and raise money for a good cause. And I really must commend the artists who still gave a full, whole-hearted performance, even though they weren't getting paid.
The late Freddie Mecury would be proud of Adam Lambert and Queen, not only because of Lambert's talent, but because of Queen's charitable work, with regards to headlining this concert. This concert managed to raise more than AUD $8 million to the cause, which is fantastic
Of coarse, the true accolades should go to the actual heroes. The fire fighters who risked their lives and sacrificed their holidays to combat these horrible fires, and to protect the local, affected properties, and most importantly, people's lives. My accolades are especially distributed with those who fought the fires for free.
And to the beneficiaries of the concert funds, the victims of the fires, my thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope to see those who are injured recovered, and to see your properties to be restored.
And to the unsung champions, who offering free repair work to affected communities, you're doing an excellent job, keep it up!
Of coarse, living within a 100 km radius of the fires, and seeing ash from the fires rain down all of your car, it's easy to forget that there are people in other parts of the world suffering from disease and poverty, with the latest major emergency being the Chinese coronavirus. We must also remember that there are also volunteers in these situations also making huge sacrifices in many ways.
The lesson here is that love is the greatest virtue. If we had more love, the world would be a far better place, if we had less love, the world would be a far worse place. Love is the greatest virtue.
Anyways, back on topic. Thank you to all the wonderful performers who gave us a great show without even getting paid! You put on a truly amazing show!

Less campy, though. But if you're more into grimdark Batman than sixties boogie-woogie Batman as seen on TV, that should not be a problem.

Then again, we are talking about a place that has alternate names for Disney characters, but that's another story.

Wait until Astoria learns that names of Disney characters tend to be different in most European countries. Hell, European Disney studios churn out quite an impressive volume of comics for continental consumption. It's how Donald Duck became a superhero, courtesy of the Italians.
