Wouldn't that be the meme to end all memes? The shocking election in which every major party leader lost.

The thing is the Tories are genuinely weak on the NHS issue, but if you are not truthful about how they are bad, they can make everything you say look like a lie.
The whole boy who cried wolf.
There is an actual wolf, so you do not need to make up additional imaginary ones to make the real one seem more scary. Or say it is the size of an elephant when it is the size of well a wolf.
As the man said, if the Tories really wanted to sell off the NHS they would've done it ages ago.

I think it's true with massive caveats. Because not all education is guaranteed to make you a better critical thinker, specially when it comes to politics. Specially not if the education is provided by institutions with a vested interest in not encouraging you to be too critical of the status quo.
Plus, all the education in the world won't necessarily make you immune to savvy marketing strategies with just the right message. I've seen a lot of otherwise smart and educated people get incredibly gullible and borderline stupid about politics.

You're talking about giving the State the power to arbitrarily go around taking your shit without compensation because they feel like it.
