Capital is an economic system for companies and other societies on how working with money. But this is not a political system. If you make Capitalism a political ideology then the Human Rights would lose any value because there will start slavery even over you who are starting this system. Remember, your own tomb is made by you, collectively. Such as Hitler and Stalin.

If you mean by "saving the world", "eradicating all lifeforms on Earth and turning it uninhabitable because of continued destruction of the environment, climate change and limitless greed", then yes.

The world we live in today, with all its problems, inequality, suffering, environmental destruction is caused directly through capitalism. So long as profits are being maximized, companies don't care about what is lost in the process. It's sickening.

Do I support a system of Communism? No, definitely not as the Soviet Union understood the concept. But capitalism has already irreparably damaged the Earth and its ecosystem (not to mention the social problems and suffering it causes), so if anything will cause the end of the world, that very thing will be capitalism.

Neither Capitalism, nor Communism (from another thread), will save the world single-handed. Unregulated capitalism can be trouble, even if capitalism is so far relatively the best system for the most parts.

Maybe niceness, compassion, and science (again, regulated, of course) will be the world-savers, at least to my personal opinion. Along with capitalism that has multiple oversights attached to it. And being apolitical for the most parts, maybe. Not through wholly discouraging or banning political discussion, mind you, but it would be a little better if people just accept ideas or discuss nicely. Then again, I guess that's an too-ideal world.
