Probably going east coast. Any recommendations?

Recommendations depends on the type of thing you like. Big cities, small towns, nature? If you want nature Western US is better.

Preferably East Coast for now. I haven't been in the U.S., and I tend to go for culture shocks when I travel. I'll most likely go by myself, so knowing some nice international hostels would already help me make the right decisions.

Going out in nature is nice, but I prefer it when I'm more familiar with the country.

What do you want to see? Broadway? New England seacoast? Sunny beaches?

Stuff I can only see in the US. Stereotypical American stuff.

Beaches are nice, but I don't need to go the US for those. A place like NYC doesn't appeal to me that much...especially all by myself. I'd rather rent a car, go on a drive and see as much as possible.

Was thinking about Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania. Stuff I wouldn't ordinarily do with other people.

How do you feel about lobster? And what season?. Summer in maine is gorgeous. We have been pillgraming to acadia national park the past few years.

Mass has legal weed and the berkshires are quite nice and they do have some sometime culture there.

He said no beaches or I would have said outer banks as well, we have time we can change his mind.

Oooh, I forgot the alpaca store is at acadia as well.

For things you can only find in the US, go out on a road trip through literally any state (except maybe Hawaii). They’re everywhere.

Ever seen a giant billboard that just says “Jesus” followed by a Burger King ad followed by a gun shop followed by a giant billboard with a picture of Uncle Sam on it talking about how we need to deport all immigrants?

The Uncle Sam billboard is an actual thing. I see it every time I go to Portland.

Take a trip through the central Cascades, like Chelan/Douglas County. It's very pretty and quite American.

No kidding. It’s awesome. Drive through anywhere in Washington. The whole state is great. This is definitely not biased one bit.

I knew the cookies most people would expect... so I decided to thwart those expectations.
