What's your take on manspreading?

It's necessary due to the physiological nature of men, and should be incentivized.

I don't think it should be incentivized, but it's definitely okay to leg spread, even on crowded places.

Manspreading is objectively bad and men should mind their own space when sitting around women.

Planking seems to have claimed very few. Sad that it cost anyone their lives, but I think it's a handful in comparison.

Your article says its been trending downward since 2015, before anyone did anything about it, and that poisoning numbers have only been kept since 2012. Not a strong case for it being worthy of any action at all. Poisonings happen.

I do that occasionally when the train is not full. One time I did it when I had two very large bags that would have ended up blocking the isle. Better to use a seat rather then prevent people from moving through the car.

I don't see it as a non-issue in that I have had men push into my space and then attempt to make an "argument" about it when I push back. Being petite seems to make people think I am a pushover. I am not sure exactly what has been legislated so I can't say what is or is not appropriate.

There is another thing about public transport that I've noticed.

Now, I'm hardly tall. (5'2"). But on some buses, not subway trains, this is buses I'm talking about, I can't always sit comfortably while facing straight ahead, because my knees are touching the back of the seat in front. 75cm leg from hip to floor, doesn't seem all that long to me, but there it is.

Which of course is not an issue at all if the bus is not crowded. But you do bring up a sort of tricky situation; is it better to take up the isle or take up seats when the conditions are crowded?

Ok.

Four, you say? That's only four out of how many countries again?

And somehow, the point has whizzed over your head again.

To say something is 'not widespread', and then to say it is being reported on three different continents, kind of is, I don't know, a bit of conflicting information?

If I said "it only happens in the US!" maybe it's not an issue for people outside.
It apparently is an issue for people in Spain, the UK, and Russia as well.

Seats, taking up an isle is a safety concern if there is a problem.
