If it turns out that there is strong evidence that China has anti-video-game-addiction policies and has blocked all of League games (without hacking) to a minimum maximum? of 2 hours and blocks certain servers from play...
then that may lead me re-evaluate where my interests align in this

No offense, but... kind of a skewed priorities. I worried about people in Hong Kong hurt by violence riot police, or anything of that sort. I think League of Legends should be the least of one's worries.
It helps you with game addiction too, so it's a partial-win! I wouldn't personally want a government to get involved, but it helps lower addiction, at least.

The PRC has put crack riot troops on notice and is massing them at the chinese mainland owned areas like train stations and garrison depots. They put out a statement saying Hong Kong can request PLA assistance if needed.
New York Times: China Hints It Could Send Troops to Quell Hong Kong Protests, if Requested
Ironic that they're still called the PLA considering they do the exact opposite of what the name says.
Yes, yes, I know, propaganda. Still find it amusing.

How do we know this? Because the first step toward Communism is Socialism, and none of the aforementioned are even remotely Socialist in any way, shape, or form.

We need to stand up to them more. A co-ordinated boycott by all the world's richest countries would go a long way to reining the Chinese government in.

We absolutely do. But we will not because the sell out Tech Bros and outsourcing CEOs are more loyal to PRC money than our people. Or any people.
But we should switch recognition back to the ROC, sanction the heck out of the PRC.
We will not sadly but this is what we should do.

Its completely unacceptable.
The average game lenght of one game (with 10 players) can range from 20 to 40+ minutes. A two hour cap would mean that you may not be allowed to finish a third game.

There are many many gamers, I look out for their interests as well as mine
this is one of the hot button issues for me with regards to Hong Kong's future status
if the PRC comes here and decides to implement PRC internet policy, then I'm not going to be happy
I want to play real League and real video games, not some regulated Chinese version (or God forbid, their knock offs)

You will have to download and play this to earn enough social credits to play an extra 20 minutes of League of Legends.
China’s most popular app is a propaganda tool teaching Xi Jinping Thought
The Xuexi Qiangguo app is now the most downloaded item on Apple’s App Store in China
Released by China’s Communist Party, the app is helping cadres learn more about its political doctrine

Caught littering through face recognition, jaywalked.. a little more overweight that you should be? You'll need to study very hard to get those credits.
