We haven't, and the WHO has listed the things mentioned here as signification threats. What's crazy is that we haven't so much defeated cancer or superbugs, but rather anti-vaxxers have risen to the point of being dangerous enough to rival cancer itself.
That's really fucked up. And to the people who quoted my post. I can't say I disagree. A heavy handed solution might be the best, and I'm not gonna lose much sleep in this specific case.
