Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush all added to the federal debt significantly on a percent of GDP basis. The left-wing person running a thousand and one social programs isn’t gonna Thanos snap away the debt as well, just sayin’.

So to sum up:

- You have a person who promises to wipe out all the debt, but adds to it instead and will leave you an inneffective wall.
- You have a person who doesn't promise to wipe out all the debt, but will add to it and will leave you social programs.

Which one do you support?

You forgot to mention that the last one’s social programs will eventually collapse as the funding for them runs out.

So frankly, you’re left with nothing on both sides. I’ll pass and collect $200 on Go, thanks.

Or you could just not defund them.

Or do the most sane thing and just raise taxes to pay for the increased spending.

Other people in your nation need them and it's your duty as a citizen to improve your nation and the quality of life for people in it.

When you help other people, other people help you. When you help America, America helps you.

This is pointless. The conversation isn’t about fire engines, which I may use, but about federal healthcare plans, which I know I will not need.

It is your duty to pay taxes for your representation. Those taxes should be raised for everyone to make an even better America.

Which is why we need to tax the rich properly in order to even out the effective burden.

Also apparently we need to pretend that one of the largest drug busts in NY/NJ history didn't happen because it doesn't fit Trump's narrative about where drugs come in from; he says that it's all lies that drugs come in through legal ports of entry rather than over the land border.
