In this case darker skinned African Americans are seen as uglier, poorer, and even stupider by the greater African American population.

Yeah, I think so.

They also made an entire documentary about this phenomenon (I forget the name), and you can see darker skinned African Americans who have just given up on dating/marriage/family building because they felt that their skin shade made worth less than lighter skinned African Americans. Also, a lot of darker skinned African Americans won't date lighter skinned ones because they think they're going to cheat on and steal from them.

I believe it's the consequences for shortcomings in upbringing on the parents' part. Not everyone is innately monstrous that is willing to ignore their parents no matter what.

It's not that hard to tie a slipknot, and the media will probably report any such not in this context as a noose.

I didn't learn how to tie shoelaces until a year or so later than people usually learn. The technique that I was shown just wasn't suited for me. One day I spontaneously came up with my own knot method that worked. I don't tie laces like most people do, but for my purposes; it is what I've stayed with because that is easier and quicker for me than the usual method.

Unless something is truly advanced like metallurgy, people just have a way of figuring things out. Sometimes even without any resources. The fewer steps or materials that are required for making something, the easier it is to reinvent it.
