Agreed. It would also be a violation of the right of human rights.

Freedom of expression covers art, music is art. Have a Swing cover of a Metal song.

No and I honestly don't want to. I'll stick with my choices of music, thank you very much.

No, there should not be ban on any type of music. Dio, and other reactionaries like him could simply cover their ears and not listen if they don’t like it. The world should not be catered for people with weak sensibilities, and this includes you, Dio. ;)

See, Dio and others like him may give the “syncopation” as a reason to certain ban music, but I can see right through it and them wanting to ban music that offends them for “CAUSING ALL DIS DEGENERACY”

Jazz was around in the 30s. You know what else was? Al Capone. Ban it because of that reason.

Hey, as long as we're banning things: ban religion. Because an awful lot of people use it as an excuse to do horrid things.

I don't think music is causing anyone to steal kids from their parents and put them up for adoption against their parents' wishes, or colluding with the nation's enemies. *shrug*

When they say “degeneracy”, they mean anything from not going to Church every Sunday to dancing to Elvis. The real hardcore stuff. :p :p

"We should ban all music that uses syncopated rhythms" is easily the worst take I've seen on this website, and that's saying a lot.

As much as I hate screamo and reggaettón (¡me cago en la puta madre y los cojones del padre del 'Despacito', illo!), a ban on any kind of music seems stupid. No, no, not seems. It is stupid.

Hamilton goes first. Next we will eliminate Spring Awakening and Rent. Finally we will destroy Wicked. Then the Devil's music will be gone.

Hey! I suggested that right over here. :p

And, seeing I love musicals, you can guess how serious I was.

Hip hop and reggae ton should be banned. Most times pop music is accompanied by some side artist with hip hop but it's not musical pleasing to me.

So, why should mustic be banned, because it isn't pleasing to you? Or me, for that matter.

I don't like rap music. There's certain atonal jazz compositions that I really don't enjoy. It's not my right to ban them, just because I don't enjoy them.

If someone doesn't like a certain type of music, they can buy a different type of music. No-one's going to be forced to listen.

Guess it's not right to ban based on preferences. But I still can't get over mainstream music

Your personal displeasure is not reason enough to ban music genres. I hate collard greens, and yet I think it would be stupid to call for a ban on collard greens.

You don't have to listen to either genre. Just change the station or press next for another track. See how simple that is?
