If a pilot has 20 grams of pot in his pocket and the supercomputer kills him while he's trying to land a 747 over a big city it's reasonably likely that some of the many, many, many people killed will be innocent.

Better yet, imagine if you will, a man robs a store (a felony). The man later drives with his family to go move to a new, better, city now that he got some money through illegal means. Suddenly, he gets executed, he dies, the car falls off a cliff into a lake filled with alligators, and now the entire family is dead due to the fact some law maker is too lazy for due process.

Felon or not, corruption or not, we cannot just kill anyone suddenly because they did something wrong. Jail time or rehab will do well (for most of the time).
