I work I worked at a school by where she was incarsersted, I did morning and afternoon crossing guard, a van associated with a news organization (some fox local stations for mid west Kansas I think) almost ran a red light while I was doing my cross walk stuff in an attempt to get a report out by the base, probably in the strip mall parking lot, more accurately the one that services the 7-eleven.

I'm not trying to be mean, but please proofread your posts. You're leaving words out that literally make it hard work to understand what you mean, as in your first post.

Secondly, hating her because you almost got hit by a reporter doesn't make sense either. Hating the news station that van came from would make more sense.

Wait, so what you be saying is, you can be charged and convicted of Violating the Espionage Act, stealing government property, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and multiple counts of disobeying orders and you can still run for the senate but a felony marijuana possetion charge means you can't vote at all for any elected office?

Executive pardon.

Iirc it was a commuted sentence not a Pardon, meaning that the commution means "You definitely did it but the punishment you've taken is plenty."

Otherwise? Chelsea Manning is an infamous leaker who was the center of controversy, is transgender, and is running against an incumbent of her own party. On top of that she has no political experience that qualifies her to jump directly into one of the most influential offices in the country which will make her lose even more of what support she might have had. Her Campaign was dead before she thought of running for office.

Personally regardless of the morality of it I dont think an unpopular known leaker is what we want to be one of the faces of Gender Dysphoria- or even just as the face of her constituents in general in the Senate. Even if she would be the most skilled senator the senate has ever seen, she will still be a detriment to her cause.

One party controls all three branches, we need more balance in the govt so that there can be debate instead of one party's influential members trying their best to get stuff through while they dont have to make deals with the other side. I'd be saying the same if Democrats controlled all three and Manning was a Republican
