Mine isn't that original at all, it's just the Anarcho-Syndicalist Red & Black flag. My old flag was my name in Arabic. Why Arabic? BECAUSE IT LOOKED COOL.

My flag is simply a yellow star and circle on a red field, which I came up with after my nation's socialist revolution.
"Without calculation, economic activity is impossible. Since under Socialism economic calculation is impossible, under Socialism there can be no economic activity in our sense of the word ... All economic change, therefore, would involve operations the value of which could neither be predicted beforehand nor ascertained after they had taken place. Everything would be a leap in the dark. Socialism is the renunciation of rational economy." -- Ludwig von Mises, Socialism

Mine's essentially a modification of the EU flag. I've always liked it, very simplistic and recognizable.

Black represents evil, darkness and also the lack of rules and order other than those coming from God. White represents the good and light that fights against it and basic principles of humanity given by the Lord. In a more specific manner, it means that the only truly acceptable rule and law is that from God himself rather than from men and earthly organizations.

The black and white stars are an obvious hint to their political visions regarding governments ("earthly thrones of tyranny"). The fact there are exactly seven stars is related to the meaning of the number 7 in the Bible. It also implies that "only the government of the Lord himself through the hearts and love of the faithful rather than through tyranny is perfect and fully acceptable". They might contradict their beliefs sometimes, however.

In clearer words, I combined anti-State visions with the sort of "UN stormtroopers are going to invade our nation in service of Satan." Christian conspiracy theorist types.

We must resist and fight against the Beast, lest it consumes our brethren!" - Inkvizitor Josef

Is it me, or is your circle of stars a bit egg-chaped?

Hmm.. Turning avatars off doesn't really help me too much in this thread!

As for my flag, I got sick of the NZ flag and wanted some colours that would look cool for football kit, so went with Ukraine.

Obviously it has Soviet/Communist influences, with the red background and yellow symbol. The background is two AKs, and I think that connection is obvious, having both Soviet/Communist and revolutionary connections. The hammer and sickle is the Aeroflot logo, the (former but still running) airline of the Soviet Union. I chose it because I wanted to create a communist government similar to the style of the Soviet Union, but with a less used symbol that still had the same meaning. I'm far from being a communist and actually live in the US, but I'm obsessed with Soviet history and the Cold War, so I wanted to make something that could relate to that. Woot woot!

Mine was a quick hackjob I made a couple years back when I joined Nationstates and discovered I could make my own flag. It has a bit of symbolism in it though.

The gray stripes with black and white borders represent the often thin barrier between good intentions and good decisions, as well as conformity to an unending cycle of peace (white), war (black), and prosperity (gray). The base/left side of the flag further reflects the aforementioned pattern, but is kept in check with the red blood of life.

What seemed like a good idea might not actually have been as such, you might say.
This is a signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
