Public funding for roadworks, lighting and a ton of taxpayer programs are present in just about every single country in the world.
Public funded healthcare is also present in a huge number of well developed countries. Check out some of the South American countries beating the US.

Political ideology isn't a see saw where you go all-in on one thing and one thing only.

But if you want to play dictator-did-a-boo-boo a great many countries had dictators that had strong capitalist leanings. And if you want to see some nasty stuff have a gander at some of the dirty laundry the United States has.

Not limited to but including overthrowing democratically elected leaders in order to install a US friendly dictator-puppet. Ever heard of Pinochet? And that was in 1973, we're not talking the early 1900s, but within many of our current lifetimes.
How about the CIA's operations in actively oppressing left-leaning activists? In which the CIA actively supported the kidnap, torture and murder-squads throughout the entire North/South Americas.
